John 2:1 “On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.”
John made a decision not to use Jesus mothers name which is Mary. In the Gospel of John, John never named Himself or Mary. \
John 2:2 “Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.”
John 2:3 “And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.””
Mary was responsible for the wedding. Maybe the wedding planner, but her involvement was close enough to know that wine ran out.
Mary relied on Jesus, I don’t think Mary knew Jesus was going to perform a miracle. I think Mary was being a mother. If there was a need, “let me call on my eldest son to solve the issue.” Theres a great possibility that Marys husband Jospeh passed away at this point. Jesus at that point did no public miracles.
Jesus lifestyle it seems was ver normal.
Luke 2:52 “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.”
It was incredibility shameful for a wedding to run out of wine. So much so the family of the bride could sue the family of the groom.
Christ is very approachable.
Matt 11:29 “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
Zacchaus chief tax collector he climd up a tree to see Jesus
The women with the issue of blood. Touching the hem of Jesus garment. Matt 9:20 “And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment.”
The religious figures of the day wasn’t approachable very prideful. People would try to avoid them.
When the Shephards had a word for Mary concerning Jesus she pondered those things in her heart Luke 2:19 “But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart.”
