Lights shine bright... everywhere we go! As long as God is at work (which He is), as long as the Holy Spirit is moving (which he is), as long as the Church is alive (which she is)... lights will always shine bright. The question is are you contributing to darkness or light? We invite you to listen this morning as Pastor Chase brings God's Word to us in a practical way! The illustration shows what it's like when we allow Christ to shine through our lives to others.)

Today's message helps the hearer to recognize Jesus as the true Light, embrace Him personally, and actively reflect His light in their life by fulfilling their spiritual purpose through faith, commitment, and service.

Think about a good friend that you haven't seen in years. Imagine that friend is coming for Christmas dinner. How would you get ready? Would you clean the house? Set the table? Prepare your favourite foods? If they couldn't arrive until late, you'd likely leave a light on. Perhaps, you'd even stay up waiting for them? In Luke 12, Jesus tells of a servant who stays up all night, leaving a lamp burning, waiting for his Master's return. May we resemble this servant.

We have the privilege of asking God to work for those around us and of obeying Him in being the answer to many of those prayers. Jesus is LORD over all, even the demons must obey His commands and none are able to overcome His strength. We are always in an evil generation; we frequently demand signs of Jesus, trying to force Him to prove Himself. His death, burial, and resurrection give witness to His power and truth and provide for us hope that lasts beyond our present circumstances.
