In the Parable of the Sower, or the Four Soils, Jesus explains the ways that we can fail to grow in God's Word. We see these successes and failures in the real world, of course, but how can we avoid the failures and ensure the success? Is there anything we can do?

Tonight in our Birthday celebration, we had a brief look at the parable of the sower and the different soils and how God works through his word. Matthew 13:1-23

Through the story of Saul's Conversion to Paul, we see how Ananias had to have faith that God would protect him when he went to Saul. Moses, had to have that same faith when God told him to pick up his staff that had been turned into a snake. Saul's faith was in Jerusalem, but when he became Paul his faith was in Heaven. It became a prophetic faith. Faith puts out the fire of unseen terror. Faith plants seeds!

Look for what you do not see and listen for what you do not hear. For it is when you are not doing these things that Satan will take the opportunity to tempt you. The parable of the sower is about the seed, not the soil. It's not about how your life(soil) is, it's that you are getting the seed(Word of God) in your life.

To Be or Not to Be: Hearers or Doers

Jesus tells a story about a farmer sowing seeds in some soil. In this simiple story is a deep message of truth and an encouragement for us to continue in God's word.

seekers are ready for planting and growing to produce much fruit

We should receive God's Word gladly and spread in generously!
