Centuries after Joseph, the children of Israel find themselves brutally oppressed by the Egyptians, and they cry out to God. He hears them, and sends Moses to carry God's demand to "let my people go!" Pharoah refuses, enduring many plagues until at last God promises the death of all Egypt's firstborn. Was such brutality necessary? Why did Israel escape? What is God really doing in the Passover?

We look at the first 4 plagues that the Lord sent to Egypt. And so many questions come to our mind: Did they really happen? Weren't they just recurrent phenomena in the region? How can a loving God send them? And finally, in the context of a pandemic ravaging the world - Did God send Covid-19, as he sent the plagues to Egypt?

Pastor Luke preached about God's power displayed in Egypt in the 10 Plagues, from Exodus 5-11. The main idea was, "God's power shows all people that He alone is to be worshiped."

We're going back to Bible College to unpack the details behind the plagues account in Exodus. Welcome to Plagues 101! Mankind has always been tempted to look past the Creator and worship creation. The Egyptians fell into this trap as well. God uses Pharaoh's hardened heart to pour out a calculated attack on every Egyptian false god. One by one, they all fall until the only one left standing, is Pharaoh. In the end, we see that what is created should lead us to the Creator, then to the Cross.
