Smyrna is known as the persecuted church. The Christians in this church suffered tremendous persecution, but they remained faithful to God despite their circumstances. Jesus promised this church a crown of life and to not be hurt by the second death. This same promise applies to overcomers today. We must remain (1) fearless, (2) fortified, and (3) faithful.

Sexual sin and adultery disguise themselves as attractive, harmless and risk-free sources of exquisite pleasure, but the reality is that sexual sin is the pathway to death and hell, and many are those who have been led there by it. It is necessary to take the word of God to heart and translate it into patterns of daily life in order to find life in obedience rather than death in sin.

The gospel is primarily a message of salvation of rescue but a rescue from what? What are we saved from? ‎‎‎The Bible is clear that every person that is not saved or Rescued by Jesus.
