Today Pastor Chase brings everyone up to speed on what our next steps are as a church in response to COVID-19. After that we talk about a subject that has been mentioned a few times throughout our last two sermons, "A Renewed Mind" and how the Holy Spirit works in us to accomplish this. When the people were giving money to the temple, Jesus pointed out a poor widow who gave only a few copper coins (over the rich men giving large amounts of money) as the person who's gift mattered more. What if our giving isn't about "what" we give, and more about "how" we give?

An explanation of the Coronavirus and how we should respond.

In the face of a global shutdown unprecedented in most of our lives, with churches cancelling services and scrambling to stream worship and teaching online, many are wondering how we can possibly "be the church" if we can't "go to church." But God is not surprised. And just as he used persecution in the early Church to spread the Good News of Jesus to the world, he can—and will—use our present circumstances to take that Good News into our neighborhoods and cities...and the world.

Taking a step away from The Women of the Bible series, we talk about the idea of Hope. In this time of uncertainty and fear, we could all use a little hope.

For anyone to claim that the church doesn't have problems with sin have been living under a rock for 2000 years. It is true to a certain extent, that all sin is alike to God. But incest with their "father's wife"? Back in "the day" this was looked on as unthinkable, even among those living in the culture known for rampant sexual immorality. How to handle it? And how are Christians supposed to handle sin in non-Christian culture anyway? Come with the Grace United crew as we seek to discover what a wordly church is like and how to avoid trying to make the world "churchy".

How can we handle this, and what should we be doing?

These are challenging times, but the church has survived famine (Acts 11:27-30) and persecution (Acts 9:23-25) by bonding together and keeping faith. With difficulty, there is always a chance for us to grow (James 1:2-4). So let us consider three ways we can demonstrate faith in these times, the times of the COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic.
