I love Paul’s use of rhetoric here.
He gave us the chronological rundown of our salvation beginning with his foreknowledge and ending in our glory.
So, now he’s like, “if God has provided all the necessary means for life and godliness, for salvation, and for glorification…who can be against us.”

If there is no one to charge us, then who can condemn us?
There is nobody eligible to condemn us to hell when they don’t have a heaven or hell to put you in.
“Jesus is the one who died...”-Jesus has already served my death sentence.
Jesus has already paid my debt.
Jesus has already served my time.
Jesus has already died.
But, he didn’t stay dead.
He is at the right hand of God, constantly and eternally, interceding for us.

They haven’t always loved their neighbor…they have lied to spouses…they’ve dishonored their parents…they have idolized their material possessions…they have abused every substance....they have lied on their taxes…they’ve stolen money they didn’t work for…They’ve eaten more than their (big ones) fill…they’ve lusted after celebrities…they sneaked candy into the movies… driven pass the speed limit...and just today while the preacher was praying their mind wondered off to only you know where.
These people are guilty and must died.
