Introduction:
What is your morning routine?
What is your evening routine?
Our days are timestamped by certain things.
Our days should be timestamped by our meeting with God.

God meets His people at the morning and evening sacrifices.

Exodus 29:38–46 KJV 1900
Now this is that which thou shalt offer upon the altar; two lambs of the first year day by day continually. The one lamb thou shalt offer in the morning; and the other lamb thou shalt offer at even: And with the one lamb a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil; and the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering. And the other lamb thou shalt offer at even, and shalt do thereto according to the meat offering of the morning, and according to the drink offering thereof, for a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto the Lord. This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the Lord: where I will meet you, to speak there unto thee. And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by my glory. And I will sanctify the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar: I will sanctify also both Aaron and his sons, to minister to me in the priest’s office. And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God. And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them: I am the Lord their God.
I want you to notice a few things.
A. The sacrifice was a morning and evening sacrifice.
B. These sacrifices were pleasing to God.
C. God met them and spoke to them during these times of sacrifice.
Exalting Jesus in Exodus The Consecration of the Priests (29:1–46)

The big idea with the tabernacle and the whole process was about God dwelling with a sinful people.

D. God’s glory sanctified the tabernacle.
E. These times reminded them of who there God was and how He saved them.

The Psalmist met with God in the morning and the evening.

Psalm 119:147–148 KJV 1900
I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word. Mine eyes prevent the night watches, That I might meditate in thy word.
A. The Psalmist was up early.
B. The Psalmist cried out to God.
C. God’s word was the source of his hope.
D. The Psalmist refused sleep in exchange for meditation.

Specially, however, at night did he keep his eyes open, and drive away sleep, that he might maintain communion with his God.

He used the quiet of the night as a time for meditation.

Sacrifice your morning and evening to God.

Today I want to recommend to you this practice - the morning and evening sacrifice. Time stamp your days by meeting with God in the morning and in the evening.
Two things are guaranteed:
God will meet with you there.
You will be reminded of your God and His redemption of your life.
