Intro
The children of Israel were going to brought into the land of Canaan, which represents the victorious Christian life.
It involves hard fought battles as well as abundant blessings.
Canaan in the Hebrew means to submit and to be humble, or lowland.
If you want to live in the place of the victorious Christian life, you’ll have to submit yourself and humble yourself before God.
In vs. 10-11, God is wanting the children of Israel to know that he is going to abundantly bless them because he loves them.
He’s giving them things they didn’t have to work for, things they didn’t have to wait on, things they didn’t have to pay for, things they didn’t deserve.
With these blessings comes a warning.
In vs. 12, God says to beware, lest thou forget the Lord.
Just as God blessed Israel and helped them, even though they didn’t deserve it, God has helped us and blessed us.
Furthermore, Israel tended to go back and forth with God.
Blessing, then betrayal.
Blessing, then betrayal.

In order to not forget the Lord, they’re are some things that we should constantly have on our mind to protect against forgetting the blessings of the Lord.
Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget not all his benefits:
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
It could be that the reason you’re not happy, joyful, peaceful, or excited is because you haven’t thanked God for his blessings.
Remember = Refers to thinking about something or calling something to mind, especially as a past fact or event.
You can control your mind if you are saved.
Jesus said, “Take no thought for the morrow.”
“Take no thought for your life.”
How can we as Christians, bring things to our mind and attention, so that we don’t forget God?
