I Will Protect You
Psalm 91:1–2 (NLT)
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
The word “dwell” used in this verse actually means to take a permanent residence inn.
He reminds us to stay in his pre-presents, For it’s a permanent place of living.
His word says if we do that, we will rest in the very shadow of the Almighty.
Shadows by definition are a place of protection or covering, they provide relief from direct heat of the sun.
If the heat is severe, the shade is a place where we run to.
It diminishes what we actually feel in the intensity of the heat.
These verses are : A declaration of Gods care for his people:
The verses are results of God’s care :
we will not fear while dangers come in various forms and at anytime day or night those who trust in him can live without fear.
These verses are the means of God’s care:
One thing that is emphasize throughout the Psalms is, that the promises of safety care or not for everyone; they are reserved for the people of God.
The Bible teaches that angels are created by God and used by him for different purposes.
God’s promise of care for His people:
In this final section we hear the voice of God as he reiterates the promises of the psalms.
In these three verses God promises his care in seven different ways the point is clear; God offer safety and rescue for those who are his.
