We've spoken over the quarter about God's promises… his promises of blessing when we give, about God's promise of heaven, about God's promise of the Holy Spirit, and God's promises for the future, and for guidance, and for energy, and for freedom from fear, and God's promise of abundant life.
If you missed any of those, you can go online and listen to them because they're all about God's greatest gifts in your life.
This morning, we’re going to talk about God's promise of personal peace, a kind of peace in my heart that recognizes that God is there regardless of the circumstances, regardless of what I'm going through.
Of all the promises in the Bible, and there are many about God's peace, I think the strongest might be Isaiah 54:10.
I love the strength and power of this promise:
How to enjoy God’s promise of peace…
1. Make peace with God.
2. Get rest for your body.
3. Receive peace as a gift.
4. Tell God what you need.
The principle of anything – Don’t worry about anything.
The principle of everything – Pray about everything.
5. Focus your thoughts on Jesus.
