When do you rejoice in the Lord? When you are warm, happy and your belly is full? When you find yourself on the side of the road with steam coming from your engine? As you wait for news about your friend’s surgery? It’s easy to read this passage in Habakkuk and know when to rejoice. It will take a bit of effort on your part to be the one rejoicing.
