This is the first of many instances where will will see that the Love of God is first presented to us, but not applied to our life, yet. He first loved us so they we could love Him and be reconciled by the Blood of the Lamb.
1 John 3:16 “By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.”
Rev 3:16 “So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.”
