Propósito:

-El propósito de esta serie es establecer la importancia de la voluntad de Dios y reconocer cómo debe reflejarse en mi estilo de vida.

Purpose:

-The purpose of this series is to establish the importance of God's will and recognize how it should be reflected in my lifestyle.

-Al hablar de la voluntad de Dios, creo que debemos establecer la diferencia entre pensamiento, propósito y voluntad de Dios.

-When talking about the will of God, I think we must establish the difference between thought, purpose and will of God.

1. El pensamiento de Dios | The thought of God

-La frase “a imagen y semejanza de Dios” se refiere al hecho de que Dios compartió ciertos de sus atributos al crear al hombre.

-The phrase “in the image and likeness of God” refers to the fact that God shared certain of his attributes when creating human beings.

-Uno de esos atributos es la capacidad de pensamiento y de razonamiento. El salmista habla de los pensamientos de Dios.

-One of those attributes is the ability to think and reason. The psalmist speaks of the thoughts of God.

5 ¡Cuán grandes son tus obras, oh Jehová! Muy profundos son tus pensamientos.

5 O Lord, how great are Your works! Your thoughts are very deep.

-Los pensamientos son las ideas formadas por la mente. Es toda idea que aún no se exterioriza por las palabras.

-Thoughts are the ideas formed by the mind. It is any idea that has not yet been expressed through words.

-Los pensamientos de Dios pueden igualarse a Sus planes. Dios pensó, planificó toda la historia de la salvación como único medio de esperanza para el hombre.

-God's thoughts can be equal to His plans. God thought, he planned the entire history of salvation as the only means of hope for man.

-Es por eso que la Biblia ubica a Cristo y la salvación “desde antes de la fundación del mundo”.

-That is why the Bible places Christ and salvation “before the foundation of the world.”

-Por ejemplo:

-La mente de Dios es el “espacio” más reservado que refleja su independencia y su santidad.

2. El propósito de Dios | God’s purpose

-Es la declaración de sus pensamientos. La razón de sus planes.

-It is the declaration of your thoughts. The reason for his plans.

-Propósito: Es el objetivo que se pretende alcanzar. Es la finalidad, la meta de una acción.

-Purpose: It is the objective that is intended to be achieved. It is the purpose, the goal of an action.

-Todo plan de Dios tiene una finalidad. En cuanto a la creación, su propósito ha sido el bienestar del hombre.

-Every plan of God has a purpose. As for creation, its purpose has been the well-being of human beings.

3 Cuando veo tus cielos, obra de tus dedos, La luna y las estrellas que tú formaste,

4 Digo: ¿Qué es el hombre, para que tengas de él memoria, Y el hijo del hombre, para que lo visites?

5 Le has hecho poco menor que los ángeles, Y lo coronaste de gloria y de honra.

-La diferencia entre nuestros propósitos y los de Dios, es que los nuestros se pueden quedar en “ideales”, por causa de nuestra limitación. Pero los planes y los propósitos de Dios,

-The difference between our purposes and God's is that ours can remain “ideals” due to our limitations. But the plans and purposes of God,

‌aunque nacen en su pensamiento, se pueden dar por hechos; porque El es soberano y todo poderoso.

‌although they are born in your thoughts, they can be taken for acts; because He is sovereign and all powerful.

-La manifestación de Dios en forma humana tenía un gran propósito: nuestra restauración a la presencia de Dios.

-The manifestation of God in human form had a great purpose: our restoration to the presence of God.

-Los propósitos de Dios reflejan su infinita y perfecta sabiduría.

-God's purposes reflect his infinite and perfect wisdom.

9 Fui elegido para explicarles a todos el misterioso plan que Dios, el Creador de todas las cosas, mantuvo oculto desde el comienzo.

10 El propósito de Dios con todo esto fue utilizar a la iglesia para mostrar la amplia variedad de su sabiduría a todos los gobernantes y autoridades invisibles que están en los lugares celestiales.

11 Ése era su plan eterno, que él llevó a cabo por medio de Cristo Jesús nuestro Señor.

12 Gracias a Cristo y a nuestra fe en él, podemos entrar en la presencia de Dios con toda libertad y confianza.

3. La voluntad de Dios | God’s will

-Voluntad: En su principal connotación en la Biblia, voluntad es la determinación, el deseo, o el consentimiento de Dios en cuanto a todo lo que existe en el universo. (Nuevo Diccionario Ilustrado de la Biblia. Nelson).

-Will: In its main connotation in the Bible, will is the determination, desire, or consent of God regarding everything that exists in the universe.

-Tenemos dos aplicaciones del concepto de la voluntad. Una es voluntad como “deseo”. La otra es como “capacidad” de hacer las cosas.

-We have two applications of the concept of will. One is will as “desire.” The other is like “ability” to do things.

-La voluntad de una potestad, es una capacidad. En lo que a Dios respecta, el tiene la capacidad de decidir y de actuar según la grandeza de su poder.

-The will of a power is a capacity. As far as God is concerned, he has the ability to decide and act according to the greatness of his power.

‌El no depende del ambiente, de las oportunidades o de las circunstancias.

‌He does not depend on the environment, opportunities or circumstances.

‌Cuando el planea algo, simplemente tiene la capacidad de hacerlo. El no tiene que pedirle permiso a nadie para actuar.

‌When he plans something, he simply has the ability to do it. He doesn't have to ask anyone's permission to act.‌

3 Bendito sea el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que nos bendijo con toda bendición espiritual en los lugares celestiales en Cristo,

4 según nos escogió en él antes de la fundación del mundo, para que fuésemos santos y sin mancha delante de él,

-La voluntad de Dios expresa su “querer”. Un hombre reconoce en Cristo el poder y la presencia misma del Dios todopoderoso y le pide diciendo: “si quieres, puedes limpiarme”.

-The will of God expresses his “will”. A man recognizes in Christ the power and the very presence of the almighty God and asks him, saying: “If you want, you can cleanse me.”

-Si los pensamientos de Dios reflejan su santidad, y sus propósitos reflejan su sabiduría; la voluntad de Dios es el impulso de su poder que refleja su soberanía.
