Introduction

To preach is to “Blow the trumpet — Shofar — in Zion” (), and sometimes the melody of the trumpet is like the song of the birds in a beautiful day, but also there is time to blow the trumpet in order to announce war and danger. Today the trumpet will be blown and it will emit a sound of alarm, it will play a melody announcing that you and me are in danger, in danger of drift away, away from salvation, and says that it is a “great salvation”.
Joel 2:1 NKJV
Blow the trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; For the day of the Lord is coming, For it is at hand:
Read with me it is in these words of God that our meditation and exposition will be based today.
neglect so great a salvation” until the point of no return.
And in order to talk about it, we must go to the epistle of Hebrews chapter 2 verses 1-4. On these God’s words, on this text our meditation and exposition will be based. Please read the text along to me:
Today the trumpet will be blown because God says: “Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound the alarm on my holy mountain. Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of Yahweh is coming — it is indeed near.” ().
“Because of this, it is all the more necessary that we pay attention to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. For if the word spoken through angels was binding and every transgression and act of disobedience received a just penalty, how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation which had its beginning when it was spoken through the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard, while God was testifying at the same time by signs and wonders and various miracles and distributions of the Holy Spirit according to his will.”
Hebrews 2:1–4 LEB

Hebrews 1:1–2 NKJV
God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
Hebrews 1 NKJV
God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For to which of the angels did He ever say: “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You”? And again: “I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son”? But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: “Let all the angels of God worship Him.” And of the angels He says: “Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire.” But to the Son He says: Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.” And: “You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You remain; And they will all grow old like a garment; Like a cloak You will fold them up, And they will be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not fail.” But to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”? Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

Because of this, it is all the more necessary that we pay attention to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. 2 For if the word spoken through angels was binding and every transgression and act of disobedience received a just penalty, 3 how will we escape if we* neglect so great a salvation which had its beginning when it* was spoken through the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard, 4 while* God was testifying at the same time by signs and wonders and various miracles and distributions of the Holy Spirit according to his will.

W. Hall Harris III et al., eds., The Lexham English Bible (Bellingham, WA: Lexham Press, 2012), .until the point of no return.
So, God is the God that speaks, God is the God of the Word, God is the God that express Himself. But what it is outstanding is that the focus of is in the Words of God and in the actions of the Son. Therefore, our salvation rests on the actions of our loving Savior Jesus Christ and on the powerful Word of God, and the union of these two topics will form what we call “Salvation by grace”.
So today, even though we will not focus in the well know actions of our Savior Jesus Christ, we must affirm that also one of His actions is to talk with the human being. Therefore, the powerful Word of God it is also the powerful Word of Jesus Christ. So our attention today will be, in the only powerful Word. The Word that can created things, the Word than can shake the earth and the heavens, the Word that can bring to the life a dead person, the only Word that can give salvation, but also the only word that can eliminate the sin and the sinner.
I was 13 years old, and I went to visit my father. You know I didn’t grow up with my parents, most of the time I past with my mother and only two years in my father’s house. So I talked with my mother and I decided to visit Him. I knew the house I had been lived there one year ago for two years. So I begun my trip.

With the Word but Lost

I was 13 years old, and I went to visit my father. You know I didn’t grow up with my parents, most of the time I past with my mother and only two years in my father’s house. So, one day I said to my mother that I have decided to visit my father. I knew the house, I had lived there two years only one year ago. I was sure that I can arrive safe to the place, so my mother allow me to go and I began my trip.
1439 km. ahead, with the necessary stops and change of busses 3 days of trip. With some money in the pocket and a backpack on my back I started my adventure. 4 days after, not 3 days, but 4 days after I arrived to the place: Chachapoyas. I arrive, but not in the hour that I thought, because a lot of things happened on my way, but finally I arrived to the place. I was there.
Illustration
Some people think that in the spiritual life the same will happen. That doesn’t matter what time you arrive, in what conditions you arrive, but that the only thing that really does matter is that you are in the place. And maybe it is true, but remember, I was at the city, I was on the area, but I was not yet in my father’s house. Remember: You are in God’s church but not yet in your Father’s house. Remember there is still a deadly danger of never arrive to our father’s house.

2 Because of this, it is all the more necessary that we pay attention to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.

That night that I arrived at Chachapoyas in the middle of the night, was some of the more longest night of my life. Even though I began my trip with a lot of energy, at that point I was exhausted, I only realized that I was there, when the people that was close to me awaked me and told me, you are in Chachapoyas “mi amigo”.
hola
At that point my mind and my body were in automatic, you know, I was not thinking, I was only acting. I was present physically in the place but my mind was not there. I knew very well the city, so I get off from the buss and I began to walk in direction to my father’s house. But only after I walked 10 or 15 minutes I came to realize that I was lost. I was pretty sure that after that street I was going to see the school where I used to attend classes when I lived there, but after that street I found another street, and more streets and finally a big slope that I never saw before. I was lost. So then my body and my mind switched off the automatic function and began to work.
It is possible for some of us to be in the same condition, it is possible that in the trip to our Father’s house, some be physically present here but mentally absent. We don’t meant to be there, we began our spiritual life with excitement and with a lot of energy. We want to reach our Father’s house but in the path we can be lost, we can became tired, or we can be walking in automatic.
Let me explain, the fact that you are here does not necessarily means that you are spiritually awake, you can be in automatic. I can be preaching and I can be in automatic, you know there are a lot of automatic christians, you can even do missionary activity in automatic. So, we can be preaching, singing, controlling the media, playing the piano, teaching the sabbath school lesson, teaching the children, and doing a lot of things, but even so, we can listen at the end “Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.” NKJV.
Matthew 25:12–15 NKJV
But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming. “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.
Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
“Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.” NKJV.
Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.” NKJV.
13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
It is my duty my dear brothers and friends, first remember me and second remember you, that to be an adventist or to have the Bible in your hand or in your electronic device, it is not guaranty for your salvation. To attend all the meetings of the church, to study the bible every day, to pray and to sing, if it is doing in automatic, in nothing helps but instead it will hinder your walking on the path to the heaven.
That is why begins saying “Because of this, it is all the more necessary that we pay attention to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. For if the word spoken through angels was binding and every transgression and act of disobedience received a just penalty, how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation which had its beginning when it was spoken through the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard, while God was testifying at the same time by signs and wonders and various miracles and distributions of the Holy Spirit according to his will.”
mentions some of the goods that God had given us: “Because of this, it is all the more necessary that we pay attention to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.
All and every of these things are goods of God, presents of Him, in order that we can reach not only the city, not only the church but mainly our Father’s house. But even with some of these gifts or with all of them in our backpacks, if we don’t pay attention, if we don’t hear earnestly, we can end lost in the city, namely lost in the church.
Parable of the Talents
Because of this, it is all the more necessary that we pay attention to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.
14 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15

Pay attention

The New King James Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), .
That is why begins saying ...
Hebrews 2:1–4 NKJV
Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him, God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?
Other version says “Because of this, it is all the more necessary that we pay attention to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.” Our text says “pay attention”, we need to pay attention to the gifts of God, pay attention to the church, pay attention to the spirit of prophecy, pay attention to the wonders, miracles and signs, pay attention to the Holy Spirit, pay attention to the great salvation. But today I want to talk with you about “to pay attention to the powerful Word of God”.
Because, if we don’t pay attention to the Word of God we are in danger of drift away from heaven, not from the church but from heaven.
Hebrews affirms that God is the one that spoke with the prophets and with our ancestors. Hebrews asserts that God spoke with the people in our Lord Jesus Christ. Hebrews states ...
Hebrews 3:15 ESV
As it is said, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”
The famous text that affirms that “the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword” () also is in Hebrews. But for me what is really important is that Hebrews affirms in ...
Hebrews 12:25 NKJV
See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven,

Pay attention to the Word of God

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword,

Pay attention to the Word of God

The New King James Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), .
It is easy to be in the church but it is not easy to pay attention to the word of God. It is easy to believed in the 28 fundamental beliefs, even could be easy to study the Bible every day, but it is not easy to pay attention to the Word of God. What means to pay attention to the Word.
Hebrews will say that pay attention to the Word means not to do what the people of the wilderness did. says … Please read in silence that words.
Hebrews 3:16–19 NKJV
For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses? Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
Unbelief, doubt, reading without understanding, hear but not listen, i.e. knowledge without practice, that is the problem. But also the problem could be have the opportunity to know in order to practice and not to take that opportunity. So “Pay attention to the Word of God means PAY ATTENTION
I think that all Christians know that the word of God says “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” () but how many professed christians really love their fellow brothers and sisters. How many of them [maybe I need to say How many of us?] cannot seat next to someone, because instead of love we have other feeling toward that person or persons in our hearts. How many Christians [and also some adventists] cannot love Jacob Zuma arguing that he is a bad president. I don’t know if he is good or bad, but what I know is that God’s word doesn’t say you must love only good people, or love only people that share some features with you, God’s word says “love your neighbor as yourself.”
But Hebrews doesn’t only says “pay attention” which is the translation of the Greek verb προσέχω. Paul put one adverb in front of the Greek verb προσέχω in order to make clear that even though “to pay attention is good” it is more important the way in which one pay attention. Earnestly, eagerly, exceedingly, greatly, abundantly, in other words we are call to read our Bibles but also to study it. Nevertheless, study it, it is not enough, we must dig in it. Ellen G. White says,
neighbor as yourself
“You now have an opportunity to attain to the greatest intellectual power through the study of the Word of God. But if you are indolent, and fail to dig deep in the mines of truth, you will not be ready for the crisis that is soon to come upon us.” Ellen Gould White, Maranatha, The Lord Is Coming (Review and Herald Publishing Association, 1976), 253.
You now have an opportunity to attain to the greatest intellectual power through the study of the Word of God. But if you are indolent, and fail to dig deep in the mines of truth, you will not be ready for the crisis that is soon to come upon us.
My dear friend, no matter who you are, all of us, either old or young, new christian or third, fourth or fifth generation of adventist, no matter your education, with degree or without degree, all of us are either drifting or drawing near to the Lord. There is no middle ground there is no time of holiday on the path to heaven. We are either knowing more the will of God expressed in His word or we are knowing less. Remember, if we don’t pay attention to the Word of God we are in a deadly danger of drifting away from heaven.
Ellen Gould White, Maranatha, The Lord Is Coming (Review and Herald Publishing Association, 1976), 253.
Some times that seems impossible in christian life, but is always accepted when we talk about professions for instance. If you are not growing you are decreasing. The same is true for the Christian life, what you study yesterday is not enough, what you know today will be not enough for tomorrow. What you understand today it is necessary that you understand better tomorrow. We never will fully understund the action of Jesus Christ for our salvation and we never will fully understand the Word of God that guide us in the way to our Father’s House.
Think for a moment in the text that we read, the text that says “love your neighbor as yourself.” What does it really means? it is possible to dig little more in that text in order to understand it more deeply, what is the will of God expressed in that text? Some people think that in order to understand the Bible it is necessary to know Greek, Hebrew or to have some kind of special training. But it is not true. What you really need is time, but the Evil one has been creating a lot of things to saturate our time, so most of us will agree that spend one hour studying the Bible for day seems impossible. You know? we have a lot of things to do, and the Bible, what is the Bible? you know what I mean.
Time my dear brother and sister, time my dear friend. Time, time, time, we need more time with the Bible, we need more time with God. Some christians think that it is enough to be in the city of God, that it is enough to be in God’s church, but remember that even though you has been arrived, maybe facing and overcoming big difficulties and challenges, to the field of God, to the church of God, you still need to walk in order to reach your Father’s house. So, still exist the deadly danger of drifting away from heaven, still exist the deadly danger of be lost inside of the church.
So What does really mean to “love your neighbor as yourself”? To me “love your neighbor as yourself”, means to look at myself in the same condition of anyone. There are a lot of wealthy people that love their neighbor, they can feed hundreds, they can build hospitals and spend a lot of money in others, but it does not necessarily means that they love their neighbors as their-self. Also there are others that are not to wealthy, but even so, they also feed the poor, they dress the naked and they spend their money in others. They lover their neighbor, but Are they loving their neighbors as their-self? To me “love your neighbor as yourself”, means to look at myself in the same condition of anyone.
What do you see when you see Zuma? You see someone worse than you, better than you, perhaps different than you, or you see one human being in the same condition that you. What do you see when you are attending the necessities of our fellow brothers and sisters in Sir Lowry’s Pass. Do you see people in worse condition of you? Do you feel in some way superior to them? Do you think that there are some difference between you and them?. Remember that “love your neighbor as yourself”, means to see myself in the same condition of anyone. It is easy to say “poor people”, but it is not easy to listen that we are that "poor people". But indeed, they along with us, i.e. all the inhabitants of this world, are the “poor people”, the people that cannot distinguish between their right and left hand, the people that are lost and even cannot realize about their sad condition.
Nevertheless, today my dear brother and sister “if you accept me as your brother”, I am here not in order to talk about the love, even though it is impossible for me not to remember that “God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” . LEB.
Romans 5:8 LEB
but God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while* we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Today I am here in order to blow the trumpet of warning, announcing that you and me and everyone are in danger of drift away from heaven, if we don’t pay attention to the Word of God. Nevertheless, does not say only that we must to“pay earnestly attention to the word of God, but also the text affirms that every transgression and every act of disobedience will receive a just reward.
W. Hall Harris III et al., eds., The Lexham English Bible (Bellingham, WA: Lexham Press, 2012), . Or maybe even you don’t want to call your brother and sister to them
I don’t know if you believe in God, but if you believe as I do, you must believe that God is a God of actions and not a passive being. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but one day He will give a just reward to everyone of us, the word of God says “How shall we escape”, no one of us will escape, everyone of us will receive a just reward from God. There are at least three things related to the word of God in which we can fail, therefore we must be aware in order not to fail in one of these three things.
The first is “obey the word of God” i.e. “pay attention to the Word of God”, if we don’t pay attention to the Word of God, we will drift away from heaven, i.e. we will lose our salvation. So, the warning of Hebrews is first for those who disobey the Word of God. Which means that these people know what are God’s petitions. They know what is the will of God but they don’t want to do it. They know that God says “love your neighbor as yourself”, but they don’t love their neighbors, they choose the ones that they will love, they are selective in order to show their love to others.
Hebrews 4:11–13 ESV
Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
It is interesting that the Word of God and the strive in order to enter in the rest of God is placed together in Hebrews. Therefore it is perfectly right to assert that It is impossible to reach our final goal, i.e. to reach salvation to enter in Heaven, without the help of the powerful Word of God.
What is also interesting is that doesn’t says only “dig in the Word of God” but also says :
Hebrews 2:1–3 NKJV
Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,
The warning of Hebrews is first for those who disobey the Word of God. Which means that these people know what are God’s petitions. They know that God says “love your neighbor as yourself”, but they love their neighbor but not as theirselves, they don’t accept that their neighbors are in the same condition than them.
even thought they love their neighbors, but not as theirselves, they don’t accept that their neighbors are in the same condition than them.
Hebrews 2:1–4 NET
Therefore we must pay closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. For if the message spoken through angels proved to be so firm that every violation or disobedience received its just penalty, how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was first communicated through the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard him, while God confirmed their witness with signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.
z
First: Hebrews talks about to disobey
There are two thing here that are very important: First: Hebrews talks about to disobey. Second: Hebrews talks about to neglect.
First: Hebrews talks about disobedience
Second: Hebrews talks about to neglect.
Second: Hebrews talks about neglection.
The warning of Hebrews is first for those who disobey the Word of God. Which means that these people know what are God’s petitions. They know that God says “love your neighbor as yourself”, but they love their neighbor but not as theirselves, they don’t accept that their neighbors are in the same condition than them.
We disobey God when knowing something, we are not willing to practice it. There are a lot of things that we know and owing to the Hebrews’s warning, which is the warning of God, we need to think and rethink if we are disobeying God. Because very transgression and disobedience will receive a just reward. You can read on the screen some of the most common things about God’s will.
Date someone that share your faith
Obey your parents
Get plugged into the local church
Pray every day
Obey the authorities
Get a job
Develop a devotional life
Steward your singleness well
Make a difference for Jesus
Use the Social Media to preach
Be worry about the future but focus in the present
Have fun
Keep the Sabbath holy
Be faithful in your ties and offerings
But Hebrews also remember us that not only the disobedient is in danger but also the one who neglects.
Disobedience is not to hear is not pay attention.
The second warning of Hebrews is don’t neglect the Word of God, that is to say, dig in the Word of God, spend time with the word of God. You know there are a big difference between neglect and reject, neglect is fail to care for the word of God, it is not pay proper attention to the Word of God. But reject is to refuse the Word of God.
The people that neglect the word of God is the people that know the will of God and they are willing to do the will of God. They know that God says “love your neighbor as yourself”, but the problem is that they don’t understand well what it means. They feed others, they dress the naked, they spend money in others, and they think that they are giving a big benefit to others, they don’t understand that the only one that is receiving the benefit is him or her. They love their neighbors, but they don’t accept that their neighbor is in the same condition than them. They like to feel at least little bit superior to their neighbor.
The author of Hebrews says that there is a deadly danger of drifting away from heaven if we neglect the Word of God. The text says, “How shall we escape if we neglect”. Please spend more time with the Word of God, if we don’t spend enough time with the word of God we will speak a different language of heaven. We need to spend more time with the Word of God in order that we can think and speak like God. You must know that even being inside of the church of God, there is a danger that we can speak an idiom that is not understandable for God. Let me illustrated it.
Hebrews says please don’t neglect the Word of God, don’t neglect the Salvation, Hebrews doesn’t say please don’t reject the Word of God.
Hebrews says please don’t neglect the Word of God, don’t neglect the Salvation, Hebrews doesn’t say please don’t reject the Word of God.
Please spend more time with the Word of God,
“how shall we escape if we neglect”.
No matter what can be the saying, I hope you understand the saying, what it is important is to know that If we don’t spend enough time with the word of God we will speak a different language of heaven, even being inside of the church of God, there is a danger that we can speak an idiom that is not understandable for God. Let me illustrated it.
When I arrived to the city of my father, I was 13 years old. You know? during that age a lot of changes take place in the life of the people. My voice had suffered a big change, then when I arrived to the house and I tried to enter in the house, since my father did not can look at me, He didn’t recognize me, He told me, it is impossible, you are not my son, and I started to say I am your son, please open the door and you will see, please it was not easy for me to come until here, open the door and you will see, my father that night made me many very interesting questions, questions that only I could answer, but at the end He opened the door for me.
But even though my father cannot perform the role of God, the experience that I lived with my father that night can help me to illustrate that even in the door of Heaven, even in the last moment, we can loose our salvation. Hebrews says that if we neglect the Word of God we are in danger of drift away from heaven. You are almost in heaven, you are almost save, but if you drift away, it is not because we are not in the right church, it is not because we don’t know the prophecies, indeed we will be able to recognize Jesus coming. But the people that drift away, the people that will be almost in heaven but will not reach salvation, these people will approach to our Lord Jesus Christ in His second coming saying, please let us go in, but they will listen according to . “‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’ NKJV.
Luke 13:27–28 NKJV
But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’ There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out.
But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’ 28

What means not neglect it, only it is possible to neglect what already we know. We know that we need to dig in the Word of God, we know that in order to dig in the Word of God we need time, and we neglect, when we knowing what we must do we don’t do it. I know that
If you neglect the word of God, i.e. if you are not spending enough time with the word of God, if you are not trying to understund the philosophy, the politics, the culture of heaven. If you are living with the philosophy, the politics and the culture of this earth, then maybe you are talking another language and not the language of heaven. Please spend more time digging in the word of God.
Luke 13:27 NKJV
But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’
Luke 13:27 ESV
But he will say, ‘I tell you, I do not know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of evil!’

The third warning of Hebrews is not explicitly present in the text but it is there and says “don’t reject the Word of God”. I want to think that not one of us reject the Word of God, but maybe I am to optimistic. The people that reject the word of God think that the Bible is a common book, they think that the Word of god is what they have in their minds and not what their have in their hands. Even some of them think that God is the invention of the human being, other will accept that God exist but they will believe that God has nothing to do with them.
I hope that not one of you be in the group that reject the Word of God. Please accept the Word of god and dig in it. Remember that one day God will give a just reward to every one of us.
I think no one of us reject the Word of God, that is why we are here, because we agree with God. But it is very likely that some of us could be neglecting the Word of God.
You need to spend time
I don’t know what is your condition, I don’t know if you are disobeying, or if you are neglecting, or if you are rejecting the Word of God. What I know is that not matter what is your condition, if you are here is because God wants, once more, to give a new chance to you. He wants to give you a good reward, He wants to open the door of heaven for you. That is why He gives us His powerful Word, not in order to tell us old histories, but in order to make us suitable for heaven. But He cannot force you to obey Him, He cannot force you to dig in His word, He cannot force you to accept His word, that is your decision. He only can say to you, the heaven is ready, your salvation is granted, I did everything for you, please take seriously my Word.
