Hold On To Your Faith

Foundation Scripture: Hebrews 10:19-25
Background: The writer of Hebrews addressed believers of all backgrounds but especially Jewish believers who were beginning to reconsider their faith in Christ as a result of persecution and hardship that it brought in order to return to Judaism and the Old Testament.
People today in times of hardship may wonder if it is really worth the trouble to follow Jesus and if the promises of God will ever come to pass.
I.
Consider what God has given you in Christ (v.
19-22)
A. Boldness (confidence) to enter the Holy of Holies
B. The Blood of Jesus, the ultimate sacrifice for our sin
C. A new and living way to the Father
D. Jesus our High Priest who pleads our case
II.
Draw near to God (v.
22)
A. With a true heart
B. In full assurance of faith
C. Our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience
D. Our bodies washed with pure water

Hold fast the confession of your hope (v.
