Meanings
Redemption. English words derived from a Latin root meaning “to buy back,” thus meaning the liberation of any possession, object, or person, usually by payment of a ransom. In Greek the root word means “to loose” and so to free.

Redeemed so that we can be Restored

Back in the garden of Eden, sin separated the Spirit of God from us.
God valued us so much that he was willing to pay the price to buy us back. But he didn’t just redeem us so that we can be saved or love and worship him. We have been redeemed so that we can be restored to our full identity -God’s Spirit within us, filling us full and overflowing.
In , Jesus said all power has been given unto me in heaven and in earth, because of that, go in my name (my authority and minister the full gospel
Our Identity is restored! We are no longer a product of our past, a product of past sin, or even a product of our natural parents. We are sons and daughters of the living God!!
Paul says that to be carnally minded is death. That doesn’t just mean to think really sinful thoughts. It means when you think thoughts that are natural and normal -but are focused on self. To be spiritually minded is to understand that Christ is in us. Not a head knowledge, but revelation knowledge! That same anointing that raised Christ from the dead is available to all of us!
Colossians 3:10–11 KJV 1900
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
Col 3:10
-you could say, we are renewed as we truly know our creator.
There is no Greek or Jew, no Amish or Mennonite, no Beachy or Bapist, no prisoner or free man, but Christ is all that matters. If the Spirit of Christ is living within, that is the main thing. He is our identity! Not any other name that we give our self. God is looking to restore to us our true identity. Don’t let anything or anyone steal it from you -or define your identity in any way that is contrary to the word of God.
The word in the Greek translated RENEWED in the verse above, is used only one other place
2 Corinthians 4:16–18 KJV 1900
16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
2 Cor 4:16-
We are redeemed so that we can be part of God’s plan to restore all things
Peter is speaking of Jesus Christ
Acts 3
Acts 3:21 NLT
21 For he must remain in heaven until the time for the final restoration of all things, as God promised long ago through his holy prophets.
The restoration of each of us is a process that lasts our whole life -and beyond. It is full complete restoration of our whole being -our spirit, soul & finally our body will be replaced with a glorious body!
Romans 8:18–23 YLT
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory about to be revealed in us; 19 for the earnest looking out of the creation doth expect the revelation of the sons of God; 20 for to vanity was the creation made subject—not of its will, but because of Him who did subject it—in hope, 21 that also the creation itself shall be set free from the servitude of the corruption to the liberty of the glory of the children of God; 22 for we have known that all the creation doth groan together, and doth travail in pain together till now. 23 And not only so, but also we ourselves, having the first-fruit of the Spirit, we also ourselves in ourselves do groan, adoption expecting—the redemption of our body;
Rom 8:18-

Restoration of our Spirit

Our spirit was born separated from God -and being separated from God is death
Adam’s sin brought an immediate death in our spirit as His spirit was separated from God’s spirit. When we accept salvation through Jesus, our spirit is immediately made alive. Our spirit instantly is brand new and perfect. This is now our identity.

Restoration of our Soul

David shared the Lord restoreth our soul
Psalm 23:3 KJV 1900
3 He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Ps
This is a work that God does. He cares enough about us to bring healing to our soul. He not only desires to save spiritually, but he wants to bring healing to our mind, our will, our emotions, our heart.
This restoration takes time -it actually takes our whole lifetime. God’s desire is just for us to try harder and harder to be better. Rather, we change and are restored as we receive revelation.
2 Corinthians 3:18 KJV 1900
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Our New Body

Romans 8:18–23 YLT
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory about to be revealed in us; 19 for the earnest looking out of the creation doth expect the revelation of the sons of God; 20 for to vanity was the creation made subject—not of its will, but because of Him who did subject it—in hope, 21 that also the creation itself shall be set free from the servitude of the corruption to the liberty of the glory of the children of God; 22 for we have known that all the creation doth groan together, and doth travail in pain together till now. 23 And not only so, but also we ourselves, having the first-fruit of the Spirit, we also ourselves in ourselves do groan, adoption expecting—the redemption of our body;

We are Redeemed so we can be Fully Restored -Spirit, Soul & Body
