Save

He came to Save

Jesus: “Jehovah is salvation.” If men don’t know Jesus as their savior then that don’t know Jesus at all.
Matthew 1:21 ESV
She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”
1 John 3:8 ESV
Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.
1
Luke 19:10 ESV
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
Luke 10:
John 3:16 ESV
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Romans 10:13 ESV
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
To save His people from their sins.” What is the meaning of save? You don’t save someone who just needs a little help. (You save someone who is unable to do anything to save themselves. (You save someone that is lost at sea. A person who has stopped breathing needs saving.) So prior to Jesus saving us, we as a people where helplessly and hopelessly lost in our on sins.
People were alienated form God, under His righteous judgment, and unable to free themselves from their condition.
A Savior is one who has the power to rescue people who cannot rescue themselves.
Jesus has the God given power to save people from their sins.
(Many believe that Jesus ability to save anyone is contingent on the person’s exercising his “Free-will.”
No human contingency mentioned in scriptures.
”Salvation is from the Lord.” , ,
When God purposes to save, He saves.
In  the Lord declares by oath, “Surely, just as I have intended so it has happened, and just as I have planned so it will stand.”
In , God declares, “For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things which have not been done, saying, ‘My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure.”
He came to you…Will You come to Him
