18 “So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.”
Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith!
Introduction
It’s a new year! With every new year, new beginning, you set a bunch of goals for success!
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
17 So faith comes from hearing the Good News, and people hear the Good News when someone tells them about Christ.

18 Be careful therefore how you listen. For to him who has [spiritual knowledge] will more be given; and from him who does not have [spiritual knowledge], even what he thinks and guesses and supposes that he has will be taken away.
Be careful what you listen to and how you hear it, because Truth is narrow, very narrow.
Very simply, Jesus warns us that We must hear and use what we hear if we want to be given things from God
We can hear but hear wrongly. We can think and guess and suppose we know what we hear, but it is false and counterfeit and shall be stripped away. Note that we must "take heed," discern what we hear. We must make sure we have the truth.
2. The reason we need to watch how we hear is clear: The truth shall be rewarded,
but What seems to be the truth shall be stripped away.
If we use what we hear, we shall be given more;
If we do not use what we have, even what we do possess will be taken away.
Luke
18 Pay attention to how you listen! Everyone who has something will be given more, but people who have nothing will lose what little they think they have.
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
You Must Put The Work IN!
You Must Put The Work IN!
33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
18 Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.”
Luke 8
10 When we were with you, we gave you this rule: “Anyone who refuses to work should not eat.”
11 We hear that some people in your group refuse to work. They do nothing but busy themselves in other people’s lives.
12 We command those people and beg them in the Lord Jesus Christ to work quietly and earn their own food.

10 Jesus went on to make these comments: If you’re honest in small things, you’ll be honest in big things;
In Conclusion
