“Awaken within us a Kingdom Mentality”

The priority of Jesus Christ was the Kingdom.

Jesus himself never preached about being born again, Jesus only preached being born again, once. He never preached it to a crowd of people about being born again.

Gods original plan with Adam & Eve was to establish & Expand God’s Kingdom on earth.

The only time jesus mentioned being born again, was when Nicodemus said asked Jesus, “how he can enter into the kingdom of God”

Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.” 3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

Jesus priority was the Preaching Kingdom of God.
we find it throughout all scriptures
He says in

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Matthew 3:1

In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, 2 “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand

mathew 5:3
Matthew 5:3 ESV
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Luke 4:43 ESV
43 but he said to them, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well; for I was sent for this purpose.”
Matthew 10:7 ESV
7 And proclaim as you go, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’
Matthew 13:11 ESV
11 And he answered them, “To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.
Matthew 13:24 ESV
24 He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field,
Matthew 12:28 ESV
28 But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
Miracles are not religous activities, miracles are evidence of another government.
Matthew 24:14 ESV
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Luke 9:11 ESV
11 When the crowds learned it, they followed him, and he welcomed them and spoke to them of the kingdom of God and cured those who had need of healing.
Jesus preached the Kingdom, constantly.
Luke 16:16 ESV
16 “The Law and the Prophets were until John; since then the good news of the kingdom of God is preached, and everyone forces his way into it.
Luke 12:33 ESV

38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in.

Jesus never faces opposition against sinners the only opposition Jesus faced was from the religious people.
You see that Jesus only focused on preaching the Kingdom of God. That was is number one focus.
Since the Beginning of time, it was Gods desire to establish & EXTEND his kingdom on earth.
We find this in the first man created, Adam.
Genesis 1:26 ESV
26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Genesis
This is CLEAR as it can get, God wanted you to have dominion of all the earth.
Dominion = Raga= KINGDOM, Rule, govern, authority.
God created you to have kingdom over earth to reign over earth as sovereign kings.
As we know God gave man dominion over all creatures, to guide and rule over them.
Genesis 1:28 ESV
28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Dominion:

dominate, direct, lead, control, subdue, i.e., manage or govern an entity, people or government with considerable or forceful authority

SUBDUE:
subdue:
conquer and control an environment or people
Swanson, J. (1997). Dictionary of Biblical Languages with Semantic Domains : Hebrew (Old Testament) (electronic ed.). Oak Harbor: Logos Research Systems, Inc.
Mans problem has always been about building their own Kingdom.
Genesis 9:7 ESV
7 And you, be fruitful and multiply, increase greatly on the earth and multiply in it.”
Genesis 11:1–9 ESV
1 Now the whole earth had one language and the same words. 2 And as people migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. 3 And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.” 5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built. 6 And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another’s speech.” 8 So the Lord dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. 9 Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth. And from there the Lord dispersed them over the face of all the earth.
They begin to expand upwards, when God told them to expand and the earth.
They wanted to build a tower to reach the heavens.
Gods does not want us to reach to in the heavens, He wants us to bring whats in heaven down to earth and to expand the kingdom of God.
Matthew 6:13 ESV
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
matthew 13
Matthew 6:9–10 ESV
9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. 10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:10 ESV
10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
God wants us to prays for whats up there in heaven, he wants us to pray for it to come down to earth.
Many times we pray for us to be with him and to long for him, when we should be praying for his kingdom to come down to earth!
You and i are the kingdom of God, the kingdom of God is within us.
SOMEONE SAY:

“AWAKEN A KINGDOM MENTALITY WITHIN ME”

You need to allow God to control & take over your mind. So that he can give you a kingdom Mentality.
Romans 7:23–25 ESV
23 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.
romans 7:24-28
MIND:

the psychological facility of understanding, reasoning and deciding

Your biggest choices in life and deciding are all decided in your mind
the word of God says to:
Romans 12:2 ESV
2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
What is the will of God?
Preach the kingdom of GOD!!!
Your are a product of your enviroment.
Genesis 15:1–5 ESV
1 After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.” 2 But Abram said, “O Lord God, what will you give me, for I continue childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” 3 And Abram said, “Behold, you have given me no offspring, and a member of my household will be my heir.” 4 And behold, the word of the Lord came to him: “This man shall not be your heir; your very own son shall be your heir.” 5 And he brought him outside and said, “Look toward heaven, and number the stars, if you are able to number them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”
Genesis 17:17–19 ESV
17 Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed and said to himself, “Shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?” 18 And Abraham said to God, “Oh that Ishmael might live before you!” 19 God said, “No, but Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.
OUTSIDE = A PLACE OR REGION BEYOND ENCLOSOURE OR BOUNDARY.
genesis 17:17
Numbers 13:17–27 ESV
17 Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan and said to them, “Go up into the Negeb and go up into the hill country, 18 and see what the land is, and whether the people who dwell in it are strong or weak, whether they are few or many, 19 and whether the land that they dwell in is good or bad, and whether the cities that they dwell in are camps or strongholds, 20 and whether the land is rich or poor, and whether there are trees in it or not. Be of good courage and bring some of the fruit of the land.” Now the time was the season of the first ripe grapes. 21 So they went up and spied out the land from the wilderness of Zin to Rehob, near Lebo-hamath. 22 They went up into the Negeb and came to Hebron. Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak, were there. (Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.) 23 And they came to the Valley of Eshcol and cut down from there a branch with a single cluster of grapes, and they carried it on a pole between two of them; they also brought some pomegranates and figs. 24 That place was called the Valley of Eshcol, because of the cluster that the people of Israel cut down from there. 25 At the end of forty days they returned from spying out the land. 26 And they came to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation of the people of Israel in the wilderness of Paran, at Kadesh. They brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land. 27 And they told him, “We came to the land to which you sent us. It flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.

And besides, we saw the descendants of Anak there.
numers 13:17-29
We do not experience our reality, we experience our persepective of reality.
they were carrying grapes on thier shuolders but yet they were so wooried about the Giants, that they never into the land that God gave them.
They focused on, “but the people living there are powerful, and their towns are large.
STORY OF DAVID GOLIATH:
In this story david is the underdog.
why?
three kinds of warriors:
1.Calvary = armed men on horses, or chariots
2.Infantry= foot soldiers, carrying swords, shields
3. Artillery : archer or slingers
2.
slingers were some of the most dangerous soldiers
cause of the sling they carried.
a slinger can hit a target up to two hundred yards
they go about 99 per mile or more
slingers were vey accurate
they could even hit a bird from afar off.
They were trained warriors
David decides to fight Goliath so he goes to king Saul
1 Samuel 17:32–40 ESV
32 And David said to Saul, “Let no man’s heart fail because of him. Your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.” 33 And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him, for you are but a youth, and he has been a man of war from his youth.” 34 But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep sheep for his father. And when there came a lion, or a bear, and took a lamb from the flock, 35 I went after him and struck him and delivered it out of his mouth. And if he arose against me, I caught him by his beard and struck him and killed him. 36 Your servant has struck down both lions and bears, and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God.” 37 And David said, “The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!” 38 Then Saul clothed David with his armor. He put a helmet of bronze on his head and clothed him with a coat of mail, 39 and David strapped his sword over his armor. And he tried in vain to go, for he had not tested them. Then David said to Saul, “I cannot go with these, for I have not tested them.” So David put them off. 40 Then he took his staff in his hand and chose five smooth stones from the brook and put them in his shepherd’s pouch. His sling was in his hand, and he approached the Philistine.
David did not have the skill to fight goliath in the sense of combat fighting.
ANCIENT WARFARE WAS BY SINGLE COMBAT
EVEYONE WAS AFRAID CAUSE EVERY SINGLE MORNING GOLIATH WAS TAUNT THEM AND PLACED FEAR IN EVERY SINGLE SOLDIER THERE.
2 Kings 6:15–17 ESV
15 When the servant of the man of God rose early in the morning and went out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was all around the city. And the servant said, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” 16 He said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
what is strange about this story is if you see david not prepared to fight in combat style, wouldnt you change your method to fight david?
i mean the way the bible describes this is Goliath, Goliath was an
easy and open target!!!!
to me this does not make sense!!!!
the only weapons Goliath has was a sword and sphere.
1 Samuel 17:45–48 ESV
45 Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. And I will give the dead bodies of the host of the Philistines this day to the birds of the air and to the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, 47 and that all this assembly may know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hand.” 48 When the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet the Philistine.
david had the Kingdom backing him up.
he was not afraid.
king Saul and the israelites were of afraid of Goliath, only because of what they saw.
what did they see?
a GIANT!!
whats puzzles me is is Goliath behavior.
1 Samuel 17:43 ESV
43 And the Philistine said to David, “Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.
sticks?
when david is only carrying one stick
This strange behavior that Goliath has may have been
caused by a disease called, acromegaly
caused by a beign tumor out of pitiutary gland.
which causes:
1. human growth
2.
1 Samuel 17:44 ESV
44 The Philistine said to David, “Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the air and to the beasts of the field.”
“COME TO ME”
as if goliath could not to go david.
Matthew 10:13 ESV
13 And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.
Matthew 10:10–15 ESV
10 no bag for your journey, or two tunics or sandals or a staff, for the laborer deserves his food. 11 And whatever town or village you enter, find out who is worthy in it and stay there until you depart. 12 As you enter the house, greet it. 13 And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. 14 And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town. 15 Truly, I say to you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.
PEACE= the presence or GOD
Genesis 8:8–9 ESV
8 Then he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters had subsided from the face of the ground. 9 But the dove found no place to set her foot, and she returned to him to the ark, for the waters were still on the face of the whole earth. So he put out his hand and took her and brought her into the ark with him.

Matthew 21:10–17 ESV
10 And when he entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred up, saying, “Who is this?” 11 And the crowds said, “This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.” 12 And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons. 13 He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.” 14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them. 15 But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying out in the temple, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant, 16 and they said to him, “Do you hear what these are saying?” And Jesus said to them, “Yes; have you never read, “ ‘Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies you have prepared praise’?” 17 And leaving them, he went out of the city to Bethany and lodged there.
