Testimony
My family had just stopped attending Catholic mass.
After a couple weeks my parents asked my sister and I if we still wanted to go.
We replied, “Yes, they give us candy!”
Over the next 6 years I heart the Gospel of Jesus
Christ many mes.
On the outside I grew colder and colder to the Gospel over me, but on the inside, I
was /ghng a bale between my will and God’s will.
Through this me my family remained faithful to
church.
It was not unl the summer of 2001 that God changed my heart.
Our church had just goen a
new pastor a few years earlier and he started taking the teens to a Chrisan camp every summer.
The
summer of 2001 was the /rst year I was old enough to go, but I made it known that I did not want to go.
My parents gave me two opons.
Opon one was go to camp and opon two was not an opon.
Needless to say, I chose camp.
It was at camp where God took away all the distracons Satan was using to keep me from caring about
my eternal desny.
It did not take long before God brought me to the end of myself and to a point of so
much convicon that I knew I had to make a decision.
It was on June 12, 2001 that I made the choice to
repent and trust Jesus Christ’s substuonary death on the cross as payment for my sin.
It was at that
point that God changed my life forever.
Before that I was condemned to spend eternity in a Devil’s hell,
but through trusng in Jesus Christ.

I grew up in a Christian home.
My grandpa was the pastor of
my church and my dad was the youth pastor.
So I grew up
know exactly how a Christian should act.
When I was 5 one of
my brothers accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior.
I don’t
really remember much, but I remover praying a prayer just
because my brother did and then I could get baptized and
take communion.
I then began acting out the Christian life, but
truly just wanted everybody to see how good I was, not how
great God was.
Growing up I doubted my Salvation.
I was
embarrassed to admit that I was not saved, but I was really
living for self instead of for God.
When I was 17, I truly
repented of my sins and asked God to save me.
I now strive
to live my life to honor my God! I’m not perfect, but want to
please my Lord with my life.
I am now excited to serve my
God with my wonderful husband by my side.

For God so loved, He gave.
For God so loved, He self-sacrificed.
For God so loved, there was a bloody cross on behalf of guilty sinners.

The Bible describes the Son as the groom, and the church is described as His bride.
The Son expresses His love for His bride in self-sacrifice—absolute self-sacrifice, self-sacrifice to the uttermost, love that knows no end, love that goes to a cross and is resurrected.
The church expresses her love to the One that gives everything for her.
The bride joyfully submits to her loving head, acknowledging him as her leader and following gladly where He leads.
This is the marriage to which all other marriages are to point.
This is the marriage to which your marriage is to point.
Charles , I want to say to you today: This is your bride.
As her father walked away moments ago, that was no mere formality, and it wasn’t just simply symbolic.
