ITS ALMOST LIKE ITS NOT FAIR!

Do you know why I believe the Bible is the Word of God?

Because it answers all of life’s important questions.

I didn’t say all of life’s questions…

it may not tell you who to marry, though it says to not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.

It may not tell you what car to drive, but there is plenty in there about wise stewardship with you money.

It may not tell you what job to take or college you should attend, but it does tell you that your life does not consist in your wealth , and purpose cannot be found in vocation.

But all of the important questions of life are answered in the Bible.

Mankind has basically three major problems… Just three… He has the problem of sin, the problem of sorrow and the problem of death.

Any problem that you can come up with is simply a sub set of one of those three categories.

And no other book on earth, no educational book, no social book, no psycology book, or any other religious book has the answers that the Bible has about the most important questions in life.

Islam has no answer for sin, besides that Allah will pardon whom he wants, but that doesn’t sound like a just God to me.

To just let people off without

Its answer to the problem of sin, is that a sinless saviour paid the wages of sin which is death.

The Bible answers the Problem of sorrow....

That He will send the Holy Spirit who comforts us in our hour of trouble.

And that one day he will wipe away every tear from every eye, He will make all things new.

And that all of our suffering throughout our brief time here on earth will seem like a momentary affliction

The Bible answers our problem of Death.

That is God’s son came and entered into our sufferings, bore in his body the punishment for our sin, and said it is finished on the cross.

Went to a grave, But hell could not contain him, the grave could not hold him!! Though it tried!

But three days later just as the Word of God had predicted centuries earlier through the prophets He rose from the dead!

He conquered the grave!

Oh hell where is thou victory Oh sin where is thy sting

That is why I believe in the bible.

It is easy to mock the Bible, laugh at God, and to walk with swag when everything is going good, you have your youth.

But eventually father time will catch up, and the slimy fear of death will come knocking on your door.

And at that moment countless millions, millions I say will feel the full weight of a lifetime of decisicons.

The Bible tells us the importantn things of life.

Not all the measly stuff that we think is so important , but the important things of life.

But Listen let me in you in on a little secret!

The Bible is not simply important because it tells us what has happened, But more importantntly what will happen, and what is our inherttance in Jesus Christ.

So lets look at what has happened, so that we can make since out of this chaotic world we find ourselv4es in, but then we are going to look at more importantnly what is our as Christians

CAN ANYBODY EXPLAIN TO ME THE LAW OF gravity?

NOT THE EFFECT OF GRAVITY.

BUT HOW GRAVITY WORKS?

Start out with Laws of Nature

START WITH illustration that there are things in like that are at work that we cannot understand!

Illustrate with gravity- Why can’t I get this ball to stay in the air

Why is this ball not staying in the air?

Because rather you realize it there is a law that God has placed to govern not just this world but the entire universe and it is called the Law of Gravity

Robin Collins, who has written several books on this subject, is asked to describe one of his favorite examples.

He proceeds to illustrate the fine-tuned properties of gravity.

He does so by comparing the range of possible gravitational force strengths with an old-fashioned linear radio dial that spans the entire width of the known universe.

He says,

Imagine that you want to move the dial from where its currently set.

Even if you were to move it by only one inch, the impact on life in the universe would be catastrophic. . . .

That small adjustment of the dial would increase gravity by a billion-fold. . . .

Animals anywhere near the size of human beings would be crushed. . . .

As astrophysicist Martin Rees said, In an imaginary strong gravity world, even insects would need thick legs to support them, and no animals could get much larger.

In fact, a planet with a gravitational pull of a thousand times that of the Earth would have a diameter of only forty feet, which wouldnt be enough to sustain an ecosystem. . . .

As you can see, compared to the total range of force strengths in nature, gravity has an incomprehensibly narrow range of life to exist.{8}

Collins goes on to discuss several other constants which show a remarkable degree of fine-tuning such as the mass difference between neutrons and protons, electromagnetic forces, strong nuclear forces, and the cosmological constant.

In fact, one expert has said that there are more than thirty separate physical or cosmological parameters that require precise calibration in order to produce a life-sustaining universe.{9}

The Law operated as a school tutor to point our need for a saviour

So the Law of God stops every mouth ever of every person that has ever been, or will be.

And the law comes the knowledge of sin.

The Law defined what sin is.

I would not have known that committing adultery was wrong had not there been the law of God.

I would not have know that lying and stealing was wrong unless the law at not said that it was wrong.

And here is the thing about the Law, it had the opposite effect.

You would think hey, God’s law said that this is wrong.

I am going to stop doing that, yeah didn’t happen like that.

NAw it produced in me all kinds of wickedness, so tht law was given so that the tresspass m,ight increase, so that Grace may be poured out in full measure.

Romans 7

When you get to this place in your life, then you are close to the Kingdom of God !

When you understand your spiritual poverty before God Almighty, when you step down off your high horse and you bend the Knee the Lord Jesus Christ.
