“Talent” large sum by weight 5 talents=58 pounds. silver is at approximately 16.00/ounce today. This translates to $15,000. Gold is now $1300/ounce. this translates to $1,206,400.00

Wicked = having a serious fault and therefore being worthless.

Why? Because he did not know the master. He didn’t know his grace, mercy, and generosity. He thought the master was a hard taskmaster. Many see God this way.

Use what you Got! God has given you a great deal of truth. Be a faithful servant who puts what you know into practice and so gains more. Their may be some people who are in churches where not much truth is given. Any believer who acts on even the little that he has is more faithful in the eyes of Jesus than one who sits in a church where he hears the Word of God rightly divided but does not act on that truth.
Take Home: Think of one principle from God’s word that you have a hard time putting into practice. Maybe it is speaking the truth. Maybe it is showing mercy, Maybe it is developing self control. Maybe it is overcoming a particular sin. Take that truth and work on doing it this week.
