THE OMNISCIENCE GOD

What does omniscience GOD mean?

Omniscience is made up of two words omni meaning ALL and science meaning KNOWLEDGE. Now that we understand what it omniscience means. Lets look at how we can know about an all omniscience GOD.

HE knows instantly, and with a perfection of fullness that includes every possible item of knowledge concerning everything that exist or could have existed anywhere in the universe at any time in the past or that may exists in the centuries or the ages yet unborn.

GOD

knows all thing; therefore, He cannot learn.

knows all things instantly; therefore, He does not reason through matters.

knows perfectly the present situation; therefore, HE DOES NOT NEED ADVISING.

does not forget the past; therefore, He does not need reminding.

flawlessly aware of all future events; therefore, He does not need warning.

cannot be mistaken, therefore, He does not need correcting.

Psalm 147:5 (NASB95)

5 Great is our Lord and abundant in strength;

His understanding is infinite.

Romans 11:34 (NASB95) Paul writes

34 For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who became His counselor?

1 Corinthians 2:11 (NASB95)

11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. This bring me to my next point.

GOD KNOWS ALL ABOUT YOU!

That is a very humbling and scary statement!

The fact is, God does know us better than we know ourself. Let look at what the word of God says about us.

Jeremiah 17:9–10 (NASB95)

9 “The heart is more deceitful than all else

And is desperately sick;

Who can understand it?

10 “I, the Lord, search the heart,

I test the mind,

Even to give to each man according to his ways,

According to the results of his deeds.

12 Who can discern his errors?

1 Samuel 2:3 (NASB95)

3 “Boast no more so very proudly,

Do not let arrogance come out of your mouth;

For the Lord is a God of knowledge,

And with Him actions are weighed.

Job 34:21–22 (NASB95)

21 “For His eyes are upon the ways of a man,

And He sees all his steps.

22 “There is no darkness or deep shadow

Where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

Hebrews 4:12–13 (NASB95)

12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.

If God knows us inside and out. Why do we live as if we can hide form an omnipresent and omniscience God? The answer is simple SIN. From the beginning of the fall man hidden their self from God.

Genesis 3:8–10 (NASB95)

8 They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

9 Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?”

10 He said, “I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself.”

A couple of Sunday night ago, Jason ask, “what do you all think the spiritual condition of Mt. Gilead is?” One person; who doesn’t need to be mention, simple but profoundly answer: COMPLACENCY!! Webster dictionary defines as: self-satisfaction especially when accompanied by unawareness of actual dangers or deficiencies or an instance of usually unaware or uniformed self-satisfaction. Thats not only the condition of Mt. Gilead but for the most part the church in AMERICA.

This brings us to the message today, if God is omniscience and He is, what would He say to the Church today? Message has two parts for note takers, first a stern warning and in closing a beautiful, Graceful all-knowing God loves us anyway! AMEN

Lord I pray that we as a church would have an awaken. That we would see with our spiritual eyes and we would bast in Your Glory and have a True revival. Lord sent Your Holy Spirit to put power to Your Word, Lord let this not be just a sermon but be eye opening and life changing; that only the Lord, and You only can bring forth. Lord I ask, GLORIFY YOUR HOLY NAME JESUS. AMEN

I open with scripture reading with Revelation 3:14-22, lets walk through the text and see what the word of God says about COMPLACENCY, COMPLACENT OR being CONTENT spiritually!

Message to Laodicea or you substitute America

14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:

The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God, says this: speaking of Jesus Christ as the alpa and omega, the first and last and beginning of all creation.

15 ‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot.

16 ‘So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.

The all knowing [omniscience] God see what man can not see, the heart. In verse 15: “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot” COMPLACENT!! I will spit you out of My mouth; in other words, you make me sick. This is just not only the state of Mt. Gilead but the whole church in the great USA! If the church is in this bad of shape; no wonder the world is in shape it is in. There is never been a greater time in history; then now, for God to awaken the Church! LORD, I PRAY THAT YOU WOULD SEND YOUR HOLY SPIRIT TO AWAKEN THE CHURCH. That we would see a revival in this church and in America. That we would see husband, wife, children, grandfathers, grandmothers, and people that we thought would never come to Christ would be radically transformed by HOLY SPIRIT AND LIVING AN ABOUNDING WORD OF GOD. Then we read in in verse 17, why or how we got in the shape where in!

17 ‘Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked,

As Americans we have became the riches nation on earth. The homeless people in America is better of than 90% of third-world countries. We rely on our money and not on God. I can not remember the last time; personally, I was in need of anything. God help us! We treat our spiritually needs like our physical need, “have need of nothing”, and all the while we do not know that we are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. Lets look in detail at how the word of GOD describe us(church) not lost world.

WRETCHED: deeply afflicted, dejected, or distressed in body or mind.

MISERABLE: being in a pitiable state of distress or unhappiness

POOR: less than adequate

BLIND: sightless; unable or unwilling to discern or judge

NAKED: not covered by clothing, but in spiritual: unarmed, defenceless

The sad thing is we; I am preaching to Myself as well, do not know we are in these condition. Lord, I pause to ask; send the HOLY SPIRIT to bring power to Your Holy Words!! LORD AWAKEN US OUT OF OUR COMPLACENCY. LORD HELP US. AMEN

Then we read in verse 18 what Lord tells us to do.

18 I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.

The “buy” does not imply that we can, by any work or merit of ours, purchase God free gift: salvation. Is 55:1, paraphrased "Buy.... without money and price” Of ME- the source of “ unsearchable riches” The Lord and Savior JESUS is our source of all our spiritual and physical needs. AMEN Then we read in

Matthew 19:21 (NASB95)

21 Jesus said to him(rich young ruler), “If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

Then Paul speaks in

Philippians 3:8 (NASB95)

8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ

Ephesians 1:18 (NASB95)

18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

The gold refined by fire literally, fired (and fresh) from the fire, that is, just from the furnace which has proved its purity, and retaining its bright gloss. Sterling spiritual wealth, as contrasted with its counterfeit, in which Laodicea boasted itself. Having bought the gold she will no longer be poor. The Gold and treasure is Knowing Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior

The white garments : Christ righteousness imputed to the believer in justification and imparted in sanctification.

EYE SALVE: The eyes here are the conscience or inner light of the mind, the salve is the Holy Spirit awaking or taking away of our spiritual blindness!

As an example of this.

Just Friday night as Alisa and I was just spooning (snuggling) in bed; do not worry G. The verse came to my mind Genesis 2:24

24 For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.

I simple asked God, what does it really mean to become one flesh? Then the quite subtle voice (Holy Spirit )answered, You no longer live as two people but as one. You love Alisa; as you would yourself, putting Her needs before yours. Then I was reminded that Marriage closely depict (or is a type) of our relationship with Christ. When Jesus Christ save us, He gave us the Holy Spirit. We no longer live as two but one. If the Holy God lives in us, we will be change into oneness with Living GOD, and we have the promise that He will never leave us or forsake us. Amen Having heard that preached a thousand time, but never heard from God. You know when God speaks thought the Holy Spirit, You Hear It!! That was example how the Holy Spirit brings light or slave to thing hidden.

Then as read in verse 19

19 ‘Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent.

Those whom He(JESUS) love, the Church. The Church, whom God sent His Son Jesus Christ die for and redeem them from pits of hell. I reprove, scold or correct and discipline. These are all forms of training that corrects, molds, or perfects moral character. I am reminded what the author says in Hebrew 12: 9-10

9 Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live?

10 For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness.

As we go through live’s many trials, tribulation, an being discipline by God, be zealous and repent. Remember God discipline those whom in loves for our good. Life as Christian, is a life of being restored to very image of God we lost in the fall.

The omniscience God before the beginning of time, Whom knows no time or can be contained in time as we know it. Would gave us His Holy Word (Bible) and the Holy Spirit to serve as our hand Book and the Holy Spirit to lead us to all righteousness.

There has never been a greater time in history; as now, for us to heed the warning of the Church of Laodicea; that very closely resembles, the Church in America.

This bring me to last point of application. God being all Knowing (omniscience) still would send His Son Jesus to redeem us from our sins!! That amazes me! The Heading would read as follow:

OMNISCIENCE GOD [JESUS] WOULD SAVE US; KNOWING ALL OUR WICKEDNESS. THAT AMAZES ME!!!

This reminds me of the course in Chris Tomlin song Amazing Love:

Amazing love, how can it be?

That You, my King would die for me?

Amazing love, I know its true

it’s my joy to honor You

Then we read in verse

20 ‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.

It amazes me that God who knows us inside and out, knows each and every evil thought, and every secret sin that we think we are hiding from God, would still send His only begotten Son(JESUS) to redeem us and the sin we hold so tightly too. . If that bring us to shout of praise, then something is wrong!!

We read in Exodus 34:6-7 How God describe Himself to Moses, the same God, Who has never change and is ALPA and the Omega! Who is the same yesterday and tomorrow, the very same God says:

6 “The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth;

7 who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.”

The omniscience God who is infinite, immutable, incomprehensible, and omnipotence at 100% ever time without each attribute contradicting each other says:

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock; (The omniscience God who is full compassion) if anyone hears My voice and open the door,(If you hear His voice, come and receive the free gift of salvation) I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.” What Gracious Loving God we have!!

21 ‘He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

The only real proof that you are truly born again, is if you endure to the end. What an amazing promise “I will grant him to sit down with Me on My throne.”(He that overcomes as Christ has overcame)As John MacArthur writes in His commentary on this verse: “A figurative expression meaning: that we share the privilege and authority that CHRIST enjoys as we reign with Him.

22 ‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’ ” COME, Repent, and Behold THE OMNISCIENCE, COMPASSIONATE,GRACIOUS,SLOW TO ANGER, ABOUNDING IN LOVINGKINDNESS AND TRUTH. WHO FORGIVES INIQUITY, TRANSGRESSION AND SIN!! COME AND TASTE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD!! AMEN
