What does omniscience GOD mean?

Omniscience is made up of two words omni meaning ALL and science meaning KNOWLEDGE.

Now that we understand what it omniscience means.

Lets look at how we can know about an all omniscience GOD.

HE knows instantly, and with a perfection of fullness that includes every possible item of knowledge concerning everything that exist or could have existed anywhere in the universe at any time in the past or that may exists in the centuries or the ages yet unborn.

GOD

knows all thing; therefore, He cannot learn.

knows all things instantly; therefore, He does not reason through matters.

knows perfectly the present situation; therefore, HE DOES NOT NEED ADVISING.

does not forget the past; therefore, He does not need reminding.

flawlessly aware of all future events; therefore, He does not need warning.

cannot be mistaken, therefore, He does not need correcting.

Psalm 147:5 (NASB95)

5 Great is our Lord and abundant in strength;

His understanding is infinite.

Romans 11:34 (NASB95) Paul writes

34 For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who became His counselor?

1 Corinthians 2:11 (NASB95)

11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him?

Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God.

This bring me to my next point.

GOD KNOWS ALL ABOUT YOU!

That is a very humbling and scary statement!

The fact is, God does know us better than we know ourself.

Let look at what the word of God says about us.

Jeremiah 17:9–10 (NASB95)

9 “The heart is more deceitful than all else

And is desperately sick;

Who can understand it?

10 “I, the Lord, search the heart,

I test the mind,

Even to give to each man according to his ways,

According to the results of his deeds.

Psalm 19:12 (NASB95)

12 Who can discern his errors?

1 Samuel 2:3 (NASB95)

3 “Boast no more so very proudly,

Do not let arrogance come out of your mouth;

For the Lord is a God of knowledge,

And with Him actions are weighed.

Job 34:21–22 (NASB95)

21 “For His eyes are upon the ways of a man,

And He sees all his steps.

22 “There is no darkness or deep shadow

Where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

Hebrews 4:12–13 (NASB95)

12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.

If God knows us inside and out.

Why do we live as if we can hide form an omnipresent and omniscience God?

The answer is simple SIN.

From the beginning of the fall man hidden their self from God.

Genesis 3:8–10 (NASB95)

8 They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

9 Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?”

10 He said, “I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself.”

A couple of Sunday night ago, Jason ask, “what do you all think the spiritual condition of Mt.

Gilead is?”

One person; who doesn’t need to be mention, simple but profoundly answer: COMPLACENCY!! Webster dictionary defines as: self-satisfaction especially when accompanied by unawareness of actual dangers or deficiencies or an instance of usually unaware or uniformed self-satisfaction.

Thats not only the condition of Mt.

Gilead but for the most part the church in AMERICA.

This brings us to the message today, if God is omniscience and He is, what would He say to the Church today?

Message has two parts for note takers, first a stern warning and in closing a beautiful, Graceful

all-knowing God loves us anyway!

Lord I pray that we as a church would have an awaken.

That we would see with our spiritual eyes and we would bast in Your Glory and have a True revival.

Lord sent Your Holy Spirit to put power to Your Word, Lord let this not be just a sermon but be eye opening and life changing; that only the Lord, and You only can bring forth.

Lord I ask, GLORIFY YOUR HOLY NAME JESUS.

I open with scripture reading with Revelation 3:14-22, lets walk through the text and see what the word of God says about COMPLACENCY, COMPLACENT OR being CONTENT spiritually!

Message to Laodicea or you substitute America

14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:

The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God, says this: speaking of Jesus Christ as the alpa and omega, the first and last and beginning of all creation.

15 ‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot.

16 ‘So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.

The all knowing [omniscience] God see what man can not see, the heart.

In verse 15: “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot” COMPLACENT!!

I will spit you out of My mouth; in other words, you make me sick.

This is just not only the state of Mt.

Gilead but the whole church in the great USA!

If the church is in this bad of shape; no wonder the world is in shape it is in.

There is never been a greater time in history; then now, for God to awaken the Church!

LORD, I PRAY THAT YOU WOULD SEND YOUR HOLY SPIRIT TO AWAKEN THE CHURCH.

That we would see a revival in this church and in America.

That we would see husband, wife, children, grandfathers, grandmothers, and people that we thought would never come to Christ would be radically transformed by HOLY SPIRIT AND LIVING AN ABOUNDING WORD OF GOD.

Then we read in in verse 17, why or how we got in the shape where in!

17 ‘Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked,

As Americans we have became the riches nation on earth.

The homeless people in America is better of than 90% of third-world countries.

We rely on our money and not on God.

I can not remember the last time; personally, I was in need of anything.

God help us!

We treat our spiritually needs like our physical need, “have need of nothing”, and all the while we do not know that we are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.

Lets look in detail at how the word of GOD describe us(church) not lost world.

WRETCHED: deeply afflicted, dejected, or distressed in body or mind.

MISERABLE: being in a pitiable state of distress or unhappiness

POOR: less than adequate

BLIND: sightless; unable or unwilling to discern or judge

NAKED: not covered by clothing, but in spiritual: unarmed, defenceless
