5 “For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly execute justice one with another, 6 if you do not oppress the sojourner, the fatherless, or the widow, or shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not go after other gods to your own harm, 7 then I will let you dwell in this place, in the land that I gave of old to your fathers forever.

8 “Behold, you trust in deceptive words to no avail. 9 Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, make offerings to Baal, and go after other gods that you have not known, 10 and then come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, ‘We are delivered!’—only to go on doing all these abominations? 11 Has this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, I myself have seen it, declares the LORD. 12 Go now to my place that was in Shiloh, where I made my name dwell at first, and see what I did to it because of the evil of my people Israel. 13 And now, because you have done all these things, declares the LORD, and when I spoke to you persistently you did not listen, and when I called you, you did not answer, 14 therefore I will do to the house that is called by my name, and in which you trust, and to the place that I gave to you and to your fathers, as I did to Shiloh. 15 And I will cast you out of my sight, as I cast out all your kinsmen, all the offspring of Ephraim.

And they that were sent went!

When we walk in obedience to God we position our selves to be blessed by God. How do i know Paul said to the Philippians

2:8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Its a blessing to walk in obedience. Yet obedience is under rated and neglected in the church today.

Yet its Jesus who said, 15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

Peter said in We must obey God rather than men.

These disciples who were charged with going to or ahead to another village to get a colt went as they were instructed. It had to a daunting request. First of all this is a highly usual to go and get a colt that did not belong to them and untie it. Keep it mind Jesus told them that this was not any ole colt it was one never ridden. It was not broken in as yet. Even though the colt did not belong to the disciples Jesus had already interceded on their behalf. He knew what they would be facing when they got there. I wish I had some folks here that know He will go before you. Duet 31:8 It is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

What has the Lord told you to do that seems unreasonable. You have not done it out of doubt or fear? If you want to be blessed Just do it! They that were sent went!

How many know you can trust Jesus. He is not man that he should lie. Our journey can get difficult. But if you just trust Him. The proverb writer helped me.

As they were doing what the Lord told them to do look the owner said why you letting the colt go. It s in Luke and Luke only that its the owner who speaks up. Why you letting the colt loose. Can I help you? This was this man unridden colt (horse) and they are unloosing it. That like someone grabbing the keys of your brand new Cadillac while you standing the and you haven't sat it in yourself. Really?

Yet Jesus will give you words to say. These words are used The Lord has need of him. I can here Isaiah saying in I will give you the words I want you to say. I will cover you with my hands and protect you. I made the heavens and the earth, and I say to Jerusalem, 'You are my people.'" Matthew When you are arrested, don’t worry about how to respond or what to say. God will give you the right words at the right time."

We fail to realize God will provide. Ask Abraham! He named that placed where he had purposed to sacrifice Issac Jehovah-Jeri why> Because the Lord will provide!

It will you opportunity to praise HIM

King James Version Chapter 19

35 And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon. 36 And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way. 37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; 38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest

This is the day which the LORD hath made;

We will rejoice and be glad in it.

25  Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD:

O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

what the people were doing with Jesus is similar to what was described when in when Jehu was made King after Ahab death. They were laying out the red carpet for Jesus. Literally crying out according to the other 3 Gospels Hosanna (SAVE US Now ) Hosanna is only mentioned 5 times in the gospels Once in Twice in Mark in sequential verses and 10 and in . Yet its here where that is reflected on . Save now I beg you Lord. Blessed (Baruk) when applied to God is Praise .

Praise is what we should do but often situations interfere with our praise. We get consumed by daily life and circumstances. Yet Jesus will get us to a point or position that will allow our praise to flow freely. The people cried out: Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

Why were they praising him? Its the same reason we praise him.For the mighty works he has done. When we see His mighty work gives us cause to praise Him. Praise him for his mighty deeds;

praise him according to his excellent greatness! Our theme scripture for this anniversary says

One generation shall commend(PRAISE) your works to another,

and shall declare your mighty acts.

Now note this you should not have to look hard to find reason to praise the Lord. He gives us so many reasons to praise him. There is a penalty when we don’t respond to his mighty acts.  “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

This is why when the Pharisees who had sprinkled themselves amongst the crowd said to Jesus Master rebuke (Reprove) your disciples Jesus said If these hold their peace the very stones would cry out.

This reminds me that not everyone is comfortable with you praising the Lord. They may be quick to judge. It don’t take all that. Meaning you are bestowing too much praise. This may come because they are uncomfortable with praise. Well I am not here to make you comfortable. For when I think of the goodness of Jesus and all he done for me my soul cries out Hallelujah!

Yes he will give you opportunity to praise him! I would not miss it if I was you. The psalmist said,

1  Praise ye the LORD.

Praise God in his sanctuary:

Praise him in the firmament of his power.

2  Praise him for his dmighty acts:

Praise him according to his excellent greatness.

3  Praise him with the sound of the trumpet:

Praise him with the psaltery and harp.

4  Praise him with the timbrel and dance:

Praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

5  Praise him upon the loud cymbals:

Praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.

6  Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD.

Praise ye the LORD.
