Freewill Offering

It is offering now, and today, we want to dwell into the bible to find out more about offering.

I mean, we just bought LOGOS right? We should all sound like bible scholars after this!

Why not everyone make a guess: “How many times did all these words appeared in the bible?”

Prayer = 87

Worship = 118

Exodus 36:5 NKJV

and they spoke to Moses, saying, “The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the Lord commanded us to do.”

Serve = 265

Love = 261

Praise = 277

Give = 804

Offering = 1343 times (419 in Lev, 313 in Num (732 in these 2 books alone))

Sometimes, we drag our eyes through these 2 books and we wonder why it is written for… Maybe this is why - to teach us about offering!

I do not know about you, but when I found out about this fact, I can tell that God puts a lot of emphasis to tell us about offering.

Do you have friends who talk a lot about a certain thing?

Maybe it is about spinning, or their work, or how they spin their work, or work on their spin? Whichever way it works/spins.

But it shows that they are passionate about it.

Well, today, you learnt that God is passionate about offering.

Go with me to this verse in the bible.

Exodus 36:3–7 NKJV

And they received from Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of making the sanctuary. So they continued bringing to him freewill offerings every morning. Then all the craftsmen who were doing all the work of the sanctuary came, each from the work he was doing, and they spoke to Moses, saying, “The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the Lord commanded us to do.” So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, “Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary.” And the people were restrained from bringing, for the material they had was sufficient for all the work to be done—indeed too much.

When I read this verse, I feel so excited and rich even.

How many times did all these words appeared in the bible?

We pray that 1 day, we have so much resources, that we can have our own HOGC building, a freedom place to worship, no lack of equipments, facilities.

But more than that, the bible talks about freewill offering. These people give out of their freewill, and not just once a week, or during even CG only, but every morning!

No wonder the bible says we are a living sacrifice to God.
