Introduction: Presidential Appointments
Every 4 or 8 years, we elect a new President of the United States
And a new round of presidential appointments get started
These are the people who are suppose to serve the President in serving the citizens of this country
The president appoints cabinet members such as the Attorney General
The president appoints FBI and CIA directors
The president appoint National Homeland Security Directors
The president appoints supreme court nominees as you probably saw in the news this past week and will see this week
The president also appoints ambassadors who are dispatched around the world to represent the interests of the President and hence the citizens of these United States of America.
If you were to read the Constitution of the United States of America Article II section 2 which discusses matter regarding Presidential Appointments you would read
he (and maybe one day will have to be amended to say he or she) shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for,

woke became a watch word in parts of the black community for those who were self-aware, questioning the dominant paradigm and striving for something better.
But stay woke and woke became part of a wider discussion in 2014, immediately following the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.
The word woke became entwined with the Black Lives Matter movement; instead of just being a word that signaled awareness of injustice or racial tension, it became a word of action.
Activists were woke and called on others to stay woke.
