The Motivation of Love
It’s the same with all the massive ad campaigns that fail.
Trying to get someone to quit smoking or stop drugs because of the pain they depict in the ad is the wrong approach.
If we suddenly focused on the pleasure someone would have when they stopped smoking or taking drugs, we’d be moving in the right direction.
This is so obvious to me after watching the movie.
Our goal as marketing and business people isn’t to tell people what’s wrong with them or to remind them of their pain, but to help them imagine and then experience the pleasure they long to have.
Love moves everyone.
Love moves everyone.
Love is the great motivator.
According to my friend Kevin Hogan, author of “The Psychology of Persuasion,” love isn’t an emotion but a mindset.
And as a mindset, it is actually stronger than any emotion.
According to my friend Kevin Hogan, author of “The Psychology of Persuasion,” love isn’t an emotion but a mindset.
And as a mindset, it is actually stronger than any emotion.
In short, you’re dealing with the most powerful motivator of all time.
The way of love.
Father to Son to Disciples
John 16:25-
A time is coming when we receive things more clearly.
We did receive this through the other books of the new testament
Why?
Because the Father loves you dearly.
Love is a powerful motivator.
People will sacrifice greatly for love even lay thier lives down, wether it be a spouse, children, family, friends or a nation.
People are motivated by love
The love they feel for and the love they feel from something.
So how much more should the love of the Father be a motivator?
even look at the disciples response.
It is not perfect and it is not developed but look at what the love of the father is building up in them already from just haven been told that the Father loves them deeply
John 16:
They went from confused, frustrated, and fearful to motivated and confident, just because Jesus told them that the Father loves them!
Love is the most powerful motivator.
Question not a statement.
John 16:31
Jesus knows that it is the beginning of something but not yet full, understanding but it will come to that.
John 16:32-33
Jesus himself is motivated by the Love of the Father.
He is going to show them just how far the Love of the Father can motivate, just how much the Love of the Father can accomplish.
John 16:33
Jesus is letting them know, tonight it is going to get a lot worse before it gets better
Extreme darkness before the light
Extreme pain and sorrow and division is coming before it will get better
But I am telling you this to have peace
Why?
Because I have overcome the world!!!!
So we see that the love of the Father is the motivation
He loves us deeply
So deeply that he sent Jesus to take our pain our sorrow our sin our penalty, our punishment upon himself
He has full and complete and perfect victory
He has overcome the world
Jesus was motivated by the fathers love for us and for him
The Fathers love is the motivator
