Lift your voice to praise the Lord.

Acts 4:23–26 NLT
23 As soon as they were freed, Peter and John returned to the other believers and told them what the leading priests and elders had said. 24 When they heard the report, all the believers lifted their voices together in prayer to God: “O Sovereign Lord, Creator of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— 25 you spoke long ago by the Holy Spirit through our ancestor David, your servant, saying, ‘Why were the nations so angry? Why did they waste their time with futile plans? 26 The kings of the earth prepared for battle; the rulers gathered together against the Lord and against his Messiah.’
Acts 4:23-

Praise God Creator

The Lord is sovereign.
God posesess supreme authority.
He holds complete power and authority over
The earth
The sea
Heaven
And everything in them
He showed his sovereignty in creation.
God has shown us who he is because he wants us to know him.
We come to know him through his creation.
We know God because chose to reveal him self to us by his creation and by his word.
Psalm 19:1–3 NLT
1 The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. 2 Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. 3 They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard.
Psalm 19:1–6 NLT
1 The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. 2 Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. 3 They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. 4 Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun. 5 It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding. It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race. 6 The sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end. Nothing can hide from its heat.
Psalm 19:7 NLT
7 The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
Thomas Aquinas in his book Summa Theologica expresses how God does exist and why we should worship him as the Sovereign Lord, Creator of heaven and the earth, the sea and everything in them.

Five Ways

Thomas Aquinas (1225–1274), author of Summa Theologica, wrote an article on wether God exist in this volume in his great work of teaching the doctrines of the Church. This article is Thomas addressing the Question does God exist.
God tells us of his existence in
(1225–1274),
Exodus 3:14 NLT
14 God replied to Moses, “I Am Who I Am. Say this to the people of Israel: I Am has sent me to you.”
Thomas answers the question of God’s existence in five ways
First way is Motion.
The first and more manifest way is the argument from motion.
Therefore, whatever is in motion must be put in motion by another. If that by which it is put in motion be itself put in motion, then this also must needs be put in motion by another, and that by another again.
Therefore, whatever is in motion must be put in motion by another. If that by which it is put in motion be itself put in motion, then this also must needs be put in motion by another, and that by another again.
The first and more manifest way is the argument from motion.
Therefore it is necessary to arrive at a first mover, put in motion by no other; and this everyone understands to be God.
Therefore it is necessary to arrive at a first mover, put in motion by no other; and this everyone understands to be God.
The second way is from the nature of he efficient cause.
The cause that started everything to be in existence.
Therefore it is necessary to admit a first efficient cause, to which everyone gives the name of God.
The third way is taken from possibility and necessity, and runs thus.
Therefore it is necessary to admit a first efficient cause, to which everyone gives the name of God.
Therefore, if everything is possible not to be, then at one time there could have been nothing in existence. Now if this were true, even now there would be nothing in existence, because that which does not exist only begins to exist by something already existing.
The third way is taken from possibility and necessity, and runs thus.
Therefore, if everything is possible not to be, then at one time there could have been nothing in existence. Now if this were true, even now there would be nothing in existence, because that which does not exist only begins to exist by something already existing.
Saying that everything that is in existence can not be in existence therefore must come from something.
Therefore it must need something to bring it into existence.
The existence of some being having of itself its own necessity, and not receiving it from another, but rather causing in others their necessity.
Therefore we cannot but postulate the existence of some being having of itself its own necessity, and not receiving it from another, but rather causing in others their necessity. This all men speak of as God.
Therefore we cannot but postulate the existence of some being having of itself its own necessity, and not receiving it from another, but rather causing in others their necessity. This all men speak of as God.
The fourth way is taken from the gradation to be found in things.
the existence of some being having of itself its own necessity, and not receiving it from another, but rather causing in others their necessity.
Now the maximum in any genus is the cause of all in that genus; as fire, which is the maximum heat, is the cause of all hot things.
Fire is the cause of heat but heat is not fire.
Fire is the cause of heat that make the wood from being potentially hot to actually hot.
Now the maximum in any genus is the cause of all in that genus; as fire, which is the maximum heat, is the cause of all hot things.
God who is good is also the cause of all that is good.
Therefore there must also be something which is to all beings the cause of their being, goodness, and every other perfection; and this we call God.
Therefore there must also be something which is to all beings the cause of their being, goodness, and every other perfection; and this we call God.
The fifth way is taken for the governance of the world.
The design of the world is done by intelligence.
Now whatever lacks intelligence cannot move towards an end, unless it be directed by some being endowed with knowledge and intelligence; as the arrow is shot to its mark by the archer.
Now whatever lacks intelligence cannot move towards an end, unless it be directed by some being endowed with knowledge and intelligence; as the arrow is shot to its mark by the archer.
Therefore some intelligent being exists by whom all natural things are directed to their end; and this being we call God.
Now whatever lacks intelligence cannot move towards an end, unless it be directed by some being endowed with knowledge and intelligence; as the arrow is shot to its mark by the archer.

If God is God then we will worship him.

Therefore some intelligent being exists by whom all natural things are directed to their end; and this being we call God.
Worship the victorious God.
Worship is service.
God showed his victory in the Son of God who defeated death and defeated the enemies of the Messiah.
Acts 4:28 NLT
28 But everything they did was determined beforehand according to your will.

Worship the Lord who knows the plans he has for you.

Nothing catches God by surprise because he set the world in motion.
No matter how the enemies may come against God’s chosen he will protect them.
John 16:33 NLT
33 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
Let us celebrate the great I am and seek to live to server him.
Romans 12:1–2 NLT
1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Romans 12:1 NLT

TO WORHIP HIM IS TO SERVE HIM ALL YOUR LIFE.

WORSHP HIM IN BOLDNESS AND BE SHAKEN BUT NOT MOVED.

ACTS 4:29-31
Acts 4:29–31 NLT
29 And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word. 30 Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” 31 After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.
Worship the Lord with pure hearts.
Look to serve the Lord boldly in your life.

Trust the power of God to move mightily in your life.

Give God permission to shake your world in awesome power.
Acts 4:30 NLT
30 Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
God shows us his great power in the name of Jesus.
God wants us to give him all the glory and he will empower us to do so.

How to be shaken

Seek the presence of God in prayer.
Seek to serve the Lord in boldness.
Pray for the redemptive power of God to be revealed in your life.
Psalm 46:10–11 NLT
10 “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” 11 The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress. Interlude

Shaken of the room represents God’s presence.

Acts 4:31 NLT
31 After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.
When God is present power is present.
Desperate for God’s presence was shown in their:
Willing to suffer for the gospel sake.
Boldly proclaim God’s word.
Their willing to submit to the Holy Spirit.
God is worthy to be praised and for us to seek him.
