My beloved brother, since we believe that God has called you to be a minister of Jesus Christ, and since the church has recognized this call, and by prayer and laying on of hands has separated you to the gospel of God, as the representative of the church of Christ, I therefore beseech you that you give earnest heed to the word of the living God, which declares:
Ezekiel 33:7–9 CSB
“As for you, son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. When you hear a word from my mouth, give them a warning from me. If I say to the wicked, ‘Wicked one, you will surely die,’ but you do not speak out to warn him about his way, that wicked person will die for his iniquity, yet I will hold you responsible for his blood. But if you warn a wicked person to turn from his way and he doesn’t turn from it, he will die for his iniquity, but you will have rescued yourself.
Ezekiel 33:7
“7 “As for you, son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel.a When you hear a word from my mouth, give them a warning from me. If I say to the wicked, ‘Wicked one, you will surely die,’b but you do not speak out to warn him about his way, that wicked person will die for his iniquity, yet I will hold you responsible for his blood. But if you warn a wicked person to turn from his way and he doesn’t turn from it, he will die for his iniquity, but you will have rescued yourself.
2 Timothy 4:1–5 CSB
I solemnly charge you before God and Christ Jesus, who is going to judge the living and the dead, and because of his appearing and his kingdom: Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; rebuke, correct, and encourage with great patience and teaching. For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear what they want to hear. They will turn away from hearing the truth and will turn aside to myths. But as for you, exercise self-control in everything, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
1 Timothy 4:11–5:2 CSB
Command and teach these things. Don’t let anyone despise your youth, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity. Until I come, give your attention to public reading, exhortation, and teaching. Don’t neglect the gift that is in you; it was given to you through prophecy, with the laying on of hands by the council of elders. Practice these things; be committed to them, so that your progress may be evident to all. Pay close attention to your life and your teaching; persevere in these things, for in doing this you will save both yourself and your hearers. Don’t rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father, younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and the younger women as sisters with all purity.

2 Timothy 2
2 Timothy 2:24–26 CSB
The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but must be gentle to everyone, able to teach, and patient, instructing his opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance leading them to the knowledge of the truth. Then they may come to their senses and escape the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.
Christian Standard Bible (Nashville, TN: Holman Bible Publishers, 2017), .
1 Timothy 6
1 Timothy 6:11–16 CSB
But you, man of God, flee from these things, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of eternal life to which you were called and about which you have made a good confession in the presence of many witnesses. In the presence of God, who gives life to all, and of Christ Jesus, who gave a good confession before Pontius Pilate, I charge you to keep this command without fault or failure until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ. God will bring this about in his own time. He is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings, and the Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see, to him be honor and eternal power. Amen.
2 Corinthians 6:3 CSB
We are not giving anyone an occasion for offense, so that the ministry will not be blamed.
2 Timothy 2:3–4 CSB
Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in the concerns of civilian life; he seeks to please the commanding officer.
Acts 20:28 CSB
Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which he purchased with his own blood.
1 Peter 5:2–4 CSB
Shepherd God’s flock among you, not overseeing out of compulsion but willingly, as God would have you; not out of greed for money but eagerly; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.
The Word “CHARGE” that Paul uses when talking to Timothy is “Diamartyomia” which means:

33.425 διαμαρτύρομαιc: to admonish or instruct with regard to some future happening or action, with the implication of personal knowledge or experience—‘to warn.’ ὅπως διαμαρτύρηται αὐτοῖς, ἵνα μὴ καὶ αὐτοὶ ἔλθωσιν εἰς τὸν τόπον τοῦτον τῆς βασάνου ‘that he will warn them so that they, at least, will not come to this place of pain’ Lk 16:28.

John MacArthur comments, “Everyone who ministers the Word of God is under the omniscient scrutiny of Christ.” (MacArthur Study Bible NASB).
Nicholas, “you are to preach the Word of God”, not the opinions of men nor their traditions. Do not preach pleasing fables or sensational stories to entice or excite their emotions. Do not exalt yourself, but in the presence of God stand before a dying word preaching the Word that has life in it. Let there be neither levity or fanciful interpretations but speak sincerity and deep earnestness, as a voice from God expounding the Holy Scriptures. Isaiah wrote for the appointed watchmen to never be silent.
Isaiah 62:6 CSB
Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen on your walls; they will never be silent, day or night. There is no rest for you, who remind the Lord.
Isaiah 62:6
Warn the world of the coming of Christ in power and great glory Your message needs to be such that it leads men to see the error of their way and the grace of Jesus. Your discourse should have the power of the Holy Spirit that leads sinners to the Cross. Making sure that you are speaking as one conscious of power and authority from God.
Today, my beloved brother, you have been solemnly dedicated to God by prayer and laying of hands. You are to minister to the sinners and saints with conviction the moves from within your inner most being. Do not falter in your stance for truth. Earnestly seeking to share the Holy Spirit wherever you are and with whoever God brings to you.
Take nothing for self gratitude but always in humility lift up the name of God to those around you. Let your actions speak louder than your word. Always put on the Armor of God and continue in prayer. The battle is won in our prayer life so never forsake your time with God.
Lastly, I leave you with this CHARGE. People’s eternity matters no matter how you feel about them they matter to God therefore, they should matter to you. You matter to God and He never gave up on you. The Truth from His Word that is delivered to them by you will alter eternity for them and those they touch. Do not take this lightly.
