The dark can be a scary place, with all the shadows, and things hidden and lurking just out of sight… in those circumstances happiness and rest seem out of reach.
I went on vacation this summer to an undisclosed location in the south.
Thats all I can say, I was swimming in a remote lake and guess you I met taking a vacation.
SANTA!
We got to talking about Christmas, and gifts and I asked him a really tough question.
“Can you give me the gift that will make a child happy?”
He gave me this box and said wait till Christmas.
Problem was, I knew none of you would believe that I met him on vacation and that we went swimming together and he gave this gift.
I told him that and he gave me his swim trunks to prove it.... wanna see? (Hold up shorts) So you know I met Santa.

You all want it.
What do you think is in there?
What would make you happy?Alright I’ll open it, you can all come look.
(open the box) Ok, I need to make sure I get this right....What’s in the box?
Nothing!? Do you know why there is nothing in the gift that is supposed to make you happy?
Because nothing you find wrapped and under the Christmas tree can ever give you joy.
Gifts don’t give joy the Giver does.
Think about your family, your mom and dad, your siblings, the friends you have, the fun you have with them and the love you share.
Thats were happiness comes from.
