There were bleak, helpless, and hopeless and times through the journey
They were relentlessly chased by King Saul
They had to leave their home land
Made an alliance with their arch enemy

Through it all they stayed behind God’s man.

David found out that Jabesh GIlead buried the bodies of King Saul and his sons who died in battle
He commends them
David wanted them to join his Kingdom

Ishbosheth - Weak people - He got to where he was because of who he knew.
He was manipulated by Abner - he would be assassinated in 2 years
Abner - Selfish people - Manipulators - he got what he wanted but lost everything he had in two years
People called of God for their position
