For much of human history, people with a gift of storytelling would travel around telling stories to princes and paupers alike, recounting stories of heroes and villains, gods and demons.
The worlds that they create, however much we love them or how good the graphics or acting is, only come alive temporarily.
They only last for the time it takes to make the movie and then the time to watch the movie or read the book.
We can get lost in the book and re-watch or reread the movie but it is back to the real world we live in.
