Old and the New
If you are lost - then you are on the other side and are dead in sin
Moses- When does the narrative start?
For Moses as a child.
We see the contrast, who you were in the past (and may still be) and who you can be.
Old testament is transition over time

Therefore, if any man be in “Christ” - Stop, ask question
Are you in “Christ”?
What does that mean?
Well there are some really deep promises that you can claim, the most important of which is:
If you are in Christ, then you will “NEVER,” let me repeat, “NEVER,” be out of Christ - read verse again
Don’t ever let anyone try and talk you out of your salvation.
If you are in Christ, then you are in Christ forever!
If you are in Christ, then you are part of a new class of people:

There is alway a “but,”
Event though all the above are true, there are parts of them which are not yet “fully realized,”
You can still be lonely - even though you are one with Christ
You will still physically die - as it states in Hebrews
However, realize, your conscience, once saved is much stronger than before.
Things that didn’t use to bother you are now going to bother you.
That means you have to learn to deal with guilt and regret.
The “old man” is still there.
Holding on to you for dear life and constantly nagging at you.
New testament is about radical change from where you were (lost) to where God can use you (saved)
