Come, Let us all go to Gilgal to renew the Kingdom
:
We looked at parts of this passage when I was last with you.
We examined certain truth that came alive as we examined the text.
When we last looked at this passage, Saul was anointed King.
We saw the process of the how God informed the people of His choice in chapter 10 verses 20 and 21.
Remember we observed how God made public what he informed Saul of in private.
We found that when the people were told Saul was King, the prophet already anointed him King.
The prophet anointed Saul King days after God told the prophet of His choice for King.
God does not operate according to our knowledge or our timetable.
As a matter of fact, he does not operate with us, according to what we think is going.
He does not wait for us to figure that we should be a thing before he appoints us to that thing.
As a matter, as we looked at the pericope of Saul getting anointed to be King, nowhere did we find God having a meeting with Saul to check his availability to rule Israel.
We should notice that God did not ask him to run for office.
God did not ask Saul permission to include him for political office.
By the way, You do know that the office of King is a political office.
This is going to scare somebody, but God is involved in politics!
What scripture do you hold to when you convinced yourself that as a saint of God, you should have nothing to do with POLITICS!
Just checking.
Do you understand that God has made some decisions about what you are going to do and he did not ask your permission.
He has already informed the prophet.
When the prophet comes to you to speak about it, you were concerned with your father’s donkeys.
Let me get off that before I scare somebody.
Do you know that God says you are qualified to do something that have never entertained.
Stop running, saith the LORD.
Stop convincing yourself that the prophet does not understand.
God has ALREADY spoken!
I know it’s a scary issue, as a matter of fact Saul was scared too.
1 Sam
Some of you are Hiding, saith God!
You are wasting your time if you think God doesn’t see you.
Israel may not know where you are but God is about to disclose your hiding place!
What Baggage are you hiding in?
I’m not smart enough.
I’m not qualified.
I’m divorce.
I have failed before.
I’m not rich enough.
I have never run a company before.
I’m sick.
Nobody has ever had confidence in me before.
But, I have been in jail.
Beloved, it’s all baggage!
Do you really think that BAGGAGE is going to hide you from your purpose?
Come out of that Baggage!
God will not allow your baggage to define you.
As a matter of fact, God does not even call it your baggage.
You are the only one, trying to take ownership of that baggage.
So what no one in your family has ever succeeded doing this.
God says this new chapter in your life BELONGS to you.
There is NO ONE LIKE YOU in all of ISRAEL!
1 Sam 10
1 Sam 10:
Look at the difference between verse 26 and verse 27.
Saul returned to his home at Gibeah, a group of men whose heart God has touched went with him.
1 Sam 10:2
1 Sam 10
Worthless people criticize what God does in you.
They are the ones who are questioning you ability.
Not the ones whom God touch their heart, but the worthless people.
Some have worthless people in your circle.
Some of them......... How can you do this?
I can’t even do this.
I have never witness greatness in you, so there is no way you can..............
You can’t even keep a man, how are you going to.............. Ever woman you ever had has left you in under a year, how can you be a husband and .................... Worthless people.
And as we saw before, Saul ignored worthless people.
Can you ignore worthless people?
Some of you respect worthless people too much.
In chapter 11, Nahash, the Ammonite King went up to siege Jabesh-Gilead.
The punks of Jabesh I mean the men of Jabesh, said to Nahash, “Make a treaty with us and we will let you build a wall that you said Mexico........... I’m sorry, “make a treaty with us and we will serve you”.
What is interesting to me is that when men do not do right, they are willing to be someone’s slave.
It is one thing to serve God, but for a man to willing become another man’s slave, is horrible.
This is detestable!
Even more despicable than these men’s offer is the answer.
The only way this King will tolerate you is if he controls how you look.
As a black this speaks volumes.
This King is saying I will tolerate you, only if I am comfortable with the way you look.
And notice, the way you must look for me to be comfortable, I don’t require my own men to look like you.
I am only comfortable black man when you are wearing a dress at important events.
I am only comfortable with an effeminate man.
Actaul men from Israel cannot look like us.
That we will not tolerate.
I am comfortable with your pants sagging.
I need you to look out here the way you look when I lock you up.
I need you to look like an inmate, then I will be comfortable with you.
I am comfortable with you entertaining me and having a little money, but by no mean should have a business of your own, that, black man, is a threat and I will make a treaty with you deciding for yourself.
I am comfortable with you twerking but not as a lawyer, or doctor, or wife to a black man that you honor and respect that we cannot have.
This is why we fund the movies we fund and the sports we allow you to play in but don’t take a knee.
We can tolerate you playing football but why do you need to own a team, that we are not going to let happen.
And the problem is Beloved, We are still trying to make treaties with Nahash!!!!
We are Still Trying to Make Treaties with Nahash!
These punks, I mean men, said give us seven days to send messengers through out Israel, if no one saves us, we will agree to your terms.
And Trump, I mean Nahash agreed.
In verse 5 Saul hears about this and this is where we left off last time.
This is interesting.
You don’t people speak on this too often.
Consider this. the Spirit of the GOD came powerfully upon Saul and he became angry.
We are not taught this often.
Now I am going to really scare some of you.
God spirit can be upon you, and you be angry.
Somehow, we have been inculcated with this hermeneutic that as Black people, God does not want you to be angry.
