Quote 1
Quote 1
God wants a relationship with us, so much so that He sent Jesus to die for our sins so that we could be reconciled to Him. We have nothing to do with our salvation other than believing, but we do have something to do with our relationship with Him. When God becomes our father through salvation we can relate to Him in the same ways some relate to their Earthly fathers. We can have a great relationship, a poor relationship, or a non-existent relationship. Unlike earthly fathers God doesn't contribute to the things that would cause a relationship to be poor. It is all on us. Through Jesus Christ you can have as close a relationship to God as you want.
Question 1
Question 1
He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”
The way we show our love for God is through obedience. When we do the will and act out the word of God we show our love for Him. Jesus said...
“If you love Me, keep My commandments.
We must be holding fast to the word of God and doing what it says.

Quote 3
Quote 3
For whom the Lord loves He chastens,
And scourges every son whom He receives.”
heb
God Always Himself to us in love. Even in hard times God is showing His love for us by working in us to make us better or preparing us to show His love to others.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Even when we do wrong, he still loves us. He will straighten us up but always in love. Gods ultimate expresion of His love for us was Jesus on the cross.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Question 3
Question 3
Even if the will of God leads to my death(like the apostles) God’s will is always best for me. If I am obeying God and seeking His will then whatever comes in my life is best for me.
Quote 3
Quote 3
God’s way is always the right way. He dose not say give me some options and I will tell you what is best. He just tells us what is best. Whether or not we agree with Him or choose the right path, God’s way is always right

God called Jonah to go and preach repentance to Nenivah. Jonah didn’t thing he could do it so he ran. We all know the story God prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah and take him back to a place where he could accomplish Gods will. Now after Jonah repented, He went as God directed and the whole city repented. God enabled Jonah to do the work God called him to do.
Question 7
Question 7
Growing up in a tradition such as ours you tend to link commands and statutes with legalism and therefore they have a negitive feel. We must not do that. We are not talking about doing works to be saved. we are taking about doing works to Honor God.
Question 8

Question 9
God has given us his commands so that we may prosper and be kept alive. His words are there to protect us not restrict us. The laws do put us inside a fence but that fence is there to protect us from the wolves.
