Génesis 26:1-3 (NTV) 26 Un hambre terrible azotó la tierra, como había ocurrido antes en tiempos de Abraham.

Así que Isaac se trasladó a Gerar, donde vivía Abimelec, rey de los filisteos.

(NLT) 12 When Isaac planted his crops that year, he harvested a hundred times more grain than he planted, for the Lord blessed him.

13 He became a very rich man, and his wealth continued to grow.

-18 (NLT) 3 You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times.2

For people will love only themselves and their money.

They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful.

They will consider nothing sacred.

3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control.

They will be cruel and hate what is good.

4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly.

Stay away from people like that! 6 They are the kind who work their way into people’s homes and win the confidence of vulnerable women who are burdened with the guilt of sin and controlled by various desires.

7 (Such women are forever following new teachings, but they are never able to understand the truth.)

8 These teachers oppose the truth just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses.

They have depraved minds and a counterfeit faith.

9 But they won’t get away with this for long.

Someday everyone will recognize what fools they are, just as with Jannes and Jambres.

10 But you, Timothy, certainly know what I teach, and how I live, and what my purpose in life is.

You know my faith, my patience, my love, and my endurance.

11 You know how much persecution and suffering I have endured.

You know all about how I was persecuted in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra but the Lord rescued me from all of it.

12 Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

13 But evil people and impostors will flourish.

They will deceive others and will themselves be deceived.

14 But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught.

You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you.

15 You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.

16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.

It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

2 Timoteo 3:1-18 (NTV) 3 Timoteo, es bueno que sepas que, en los últimos días, habrá tiempos muy difíciles.

2 Pues la gente solo tendrá amor por sí misma y por su dinero.

Serán fanfarrones y orgullosos, se burlarán de Dios, serán desobedientes a sus padres y malagradecidos.

No considerarán nada sagrado.

3 No amarán ni perdonarán; calumniarán a otros y no tendrán control propio.

Serán crueles y odiarán lo que es bueno.

4 Traicionarán a sus amigos, serán imprudentes, se llenarán de soberbia y amarán el placer en lugar de amar a Dios. 5 Actuarán como religiosos pero rechazarán el único poder capaz de hacerlos obedientes a Dios.

¡Aléjate de esa clase de individuos! 6 Pues son de los que se las ingenian para meterse en las casas de otros y ganarse la confianza de mujeres vulnerables que cargan con la culpa del pecado y están dominadas por todo tipo de deseos.7 (Dichas mujeres siempre van detrás de nuevas enseñanzas pero jamás logran entender la verdad).

8 Estos «maestros» se oponen a la verdad, tal como Janes y Jambres se opusieron a Moisés.

Tienen la mente depravada, y una fe falsa; 9 pero no se saldrán con la suya por mucho tiempo.

Algún día, todos se darán cuenta de lo tontos que son, tal como pasó con Janes y Jambres. 10 Pero tú, Timoteo, sabes muy bien lo que yo enseño y cómo vivo y cuál es el propósito de mi vida.

También conoces mi fe, mi paciencia, mi amor y mi constancia.

11 Sabes cuánta persecución y sufrimiento he soportado, y cómo fui perseguido en Antioquía, Iconio y Listra; pero el Señor me rescató de todo eso.

12 Es cierto, y todo el que quiera vivir una vida de sumisión a Dios en Cristo Jesús sufrirá persecución; 13 pero los malos y los impostores serán cada vez más fuertes.

Engañarán a otros, y ellos mismos serán engañados.

14 Pero tú debes permanecer fiel a las cosas que se te han enseñado.

Sabes que son verdad, porque sabes que puedes confiar en quienes te las enseñaron.

15 Desde la niñez, se te han enseñado las sagradas Escrituras, las cuales te han dado la sabiduría para recibir la salvación que viene por confiar en Cristo Jesús.

16 Toda la Escritura es inspirada por Dios y es útil para enseñarnos lo que es verdad y para hacernos ver lo que está mal en nuestra vida.

Nos corrige cuando estamos equivocados y nos enseña a hacer lo correcto.

17 Dios la usa para preparar y capacitar a su pueblo para que haga toda buena obra.
