JESUS IS BETTER

HEBREWS 1:1-3

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

I.                   HE IS THE HEIR OF ALL THINGS

A.   THE ONLY SON

B.   THE RIGHTFUL HEIR

C.   WORTHY HEIR

II.                HE IS THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS

A.   HE HAS BEEN FROM THE BEGINNING

B.   JOHN 1:3 “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”

III.             HE IS THE SUSTAINER OF THE UNIVERSE

A.   SCIENTIST DO NOT KNOW WHAT HOLDS THE UNIVERSE TOGETHER

B.   THIS WORLD, THIS UNIVERSE ARE HELD IN A DELICATE BALANCE

C.   THINGS ARE HELD TOGETHER BY THE POWER OF HIS WORD

IV.            HE IS THE RADIANCE OF GOD’S GLORY

A.   NOT A REFLECTION OF

B.   NOT A REPRESENTATION OF

C.   THE SOURCE OF

V.               HE IS THE EXACT REPRESENTATION OF HIS FATHER

A.   THE EXACT REPRESENTATION OF THE VERY SUBSTANCE OF GOD

B.   WHEN WE KNOW JESUS, WE KNOW GOD

C.   JOHN 14:9 “Jesus saith unto him, have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?”

VI.            HE IS THE REDEEMER OF MANKIND

A.   IT WAS FOR THIS PURPOSE HE WAS SENT

B.   I PETER 1:19, 19 “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

C.   THIS WAS GOD’S PLAN FROM THE BEGINNING

VII.         HE IS THE RULER OF THE UNIVERSE

A.   HE SAT DOWN BECAUSE HIS WORK WAS COMPLETE

B.   HE SAT AT FATHER’S RIGHT HAND BECAUSE IT IS HIS RIGHTFUL PLACE OF AUTHORITY

C.   HE SAT AT THE FATHER’S RIGHT HAND BECAUSE HE INHERITED FROM THE FATHER ALL THAT THE FATHER HAS

D.   SEATED IN HONOR, JESUS REMAINS SUPERIOR
