THE SECRECY OF GOD

: “The secret things belong unto the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong unto us.”

The Bible has much to say about the secrecy of God.

tells us: “Hast thou heard the secret of God?” asks Eliphaz?

exclaims: “The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him,”

“Thy Father which is in secret,” “But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private.

Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.”

Man is permitted to explore, to research, to discover a great deal, but there is an infinite domain beyond his mental reach.

says Jesus We must never forget that God’s revelation is in every case tempered with reserve.

Soooooo…Where does that leave us?

The secret things of the soul belong to the Lord our God.

“He knoweth the secrets of the heart” tells us: “God would surely have known it, for he knows the secrets of every heart.”

Paul tells us in Romans: “And this is the message I proclaim—that the day is coming when God, through Christ Jesus, will judge everyone’s secret life.”

“God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ” ().

“The revelation of the mystery … was kept secret since the world began” Again the Apostle Paul tells us: “25 Now all glory to God, who is able to make you strong, just as my Good News says.

“By revelation [God] made known unto me the mystery … which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men.” Paul tells us in Ephesians........

Remember in the book of Daniel?

Do you think that the reason could be why we know so little of the secrets of the Lord perhaps this, that we are not often enough in the secret place with Him?
