1 Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you is no trouble to me and is safe for you.

Introduction:
Baptism is one of the most controversial subjects in all the scriptures. Over the next few minutes I want us to look at three aspects of baptism and see if we can’t come to an answer concerning this controversial subject.

1) It is not the Baptism of John
- Paul taught the people at Ephesus about the baptism of Christ even though they had the baptism of John ()

25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. 26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil. 28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need. 29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Conclusion:
This study leads us to conclude that only by being immersed into water in order to access the blood of Christ can we be saved. Any failure to follow this command to the fullest extent is a violation of God’s law. We must believe in Christ, be willing to confess him before men, repent of our sins, and die in the watery grave and then be raised a new creation “after God’s likeness” () in order to have a home in heaven. Christ’s baptism/immersion is the one true baptism/immersion of the Bible.
