Sin always begins in the heart.

The Seriousness of Sin
Sin is serious.

Sin perverts and destroys all that it touches - like blight on a tomato plant.
Jesus gives the extreme example of cutting off a hand, or gouging out an eye to emphasize how dangerously gruesome sin is.
We need to learn to see sin from Christ’s perspective, rather than make light of it.
We have become so dull that we do not even realize how much our separation from God by sin has distorted His design and blessing in our life.
We must come to a place of understanding what our sin cost the Lord Jesus.
Then we will grow to hate it.

The Solution for Sin
Salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Agree with God about our condition and confess.
Receive Christ’s cleaning from sin by faith.
Sanctification by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
Put sin to death.
Cut it off at the root!
