How the Story Ends

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

And he said unto me, It is done.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.

This is the second death.

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

This passage God is wrapping everything up.

Than the devil is loosed and he knows he only has a little time.

So he goes about deceiving people and they get together in verse 7-9 and he destroys them with fire

No devil no problems curse on the earth, they still want to kick jesus off the throne and try to make themselves Gods.

Listen you are you're own worst enemy the devil is not the problem we are the problem.

Then he throws the devil in the lack of fire.

And burns the earth

And then we learn how the story ends.

But there are different endings for different people.

Have you ever read a book with an alternate ending two days ago Carlos left by helicopter to look for the abominable snowman the helicopter returned without him.

I want you to imagine a person wakes up he finds he is missing something, something's not right.

They end up going to church that morning.

The get there just as they walk in they hear the choir singing.

I'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold smiles on their faces and tears in their eyes as they sing about Jesus.

Than the preacher gets up and begins to preach the gospel he talks about the way sin breaks us.

How it leaves us empty not satisfied wanting more.

Talks about Jesus is the only thing that can satisfy he will forgive you he will save you he will adopt you.

He talks about hell he talks about the cross and gives and invitation anyone want to receive Christ come forward and we will take a bible show you how to receive him.

In this scenario he goes forward receives Christ and from that moment his life changes his destination charges.

He walks out of the church and on the way home he gets in a car wreck and dies.

You know how his story ends ?

This is the end of the story for any one that does without Christ.

It is the end of the story for your neighbor.

Your family.

Your classmates.

Think about the man that delivers the mail.

Your amazon packages.

The teller at the bank the lady that loads your groceries into the care at walmart.

The guy that sits next to you at work

He left years ago I wonder what became of him?

Your neighbor that died last year and of a heart attack

Listen if you are here this morning without Christ.

If you have never repented and trusted Christ this is how your story ends.

This is when the Lord puts the final period on the final chapter of the final sentence and the final word of this earth and the story of your life.
