1 พระองค์จึงเริ่มตรัสแก่เขาเป็นคำอุปมาว่า "ยังมีชายคนหนึ่งได้ทำสวนองุ่น แล้วล้อมรั้วต้นไม้ไว้รอบ เขาได้สกัดบ่อเก็บน้ำองุ่น และสร้างหอเฝ้า ให้พวกชาวสวนเช่าแล้วก็ไปเมืองไกล

2 ครั้นถึงฤดูผลองุ่นเขาจึงใช้ผู้รับใช้คนหนึ่งไปหาคนเช่าสวนนั้น เพื่อเขาจะได้รับส่วนผลของสวนองุ่นจากคนเช่าสวน

Introduction: Today we are going to look at a subject that is becoming contraversial once again - The role of Israel as a nation, and the Church as an institution.

The Church is the Local church

In this one parable, we see the care of God for Israel, the Patience of God for them and His love for them.

We also see the response of the nation of Israel to God.

Finally, we see how this applies to us today in a surprisingly similar way.

The Renter’s Opportunity

They simply had a good deal going on here!

No preparation, just move in and maintain the fruitbearing state.

They were not satisfied with the agreement they had made.

They did not want to give to the owner what was HIS!

They wanted it for themselves…GREED.

How many of us would have had the patience to send another servant after the first one was injured?

NOT ME!!!

What about after they KILLED a servant?

NO WAY!!!

The “Certain Man” is of course God

The Vineyard is the Nation of Israel that God planted, protected (the hedge of trees), blessed abundantly (the Winepress)

The Servants of the LORD represent the Prophets whom God sent to remind the nation of its obligations and to call the people and rulers alike to the subjection that due to God. *Jesus Himself claimed to have sent the prophets in

35 ดังนั้นบรรดาโลหิตอันชอบธรรมซึ่งตกที่แผ่นดินโลก ตั้งแต่โลหิตของอาแบลผู้ชอบธรรมจนถึงโลหิตของเศคาริยาห์บุตรชายบารัคยา ที่พวกเจ้าได้ฆ่าเสียในระหว่างพระวิหารกับแท่นบูชานั้น ย่อมตกบนพวกเจ้าทั้งหลาย

Prophets, Priests

Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

The Judgment of the Owner speaks of God removing His using of the nation of Israel as His primary way to make Himself known in the world.

They are no longer the light in this dark world…the Church has replaced Israel as God’s tool for now, but we are not Israel.

In 41 they answer with a vehement desire for justice; in verse 45, they realize they have spoken their sentence before the judge!

Their carefully crafted reputations meant they feared the people.

If they lost respect in the eyes of the people then the Romans would not need them to help keep the peace and they would lose their position, power and importance.

3. ปัญหาที่แท้จริงของผู้นำ 3. The Leader’s Root Problem

3.1.

How proud and arrogant that these people could think that they could reject the Person Who put them in this position and now they claim it as their own!

43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.

46 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.

God owns the Vineyard!

You are either owned by sin and the Devil, or you are owned by God and His Liberty from sin.

We are bought with a price!

God owns US!

The Insufficiency of Religion

- They had religion, OT Bible religious methods, but that OUTWARD FORM was not enough.

“Let us observe, for another thing, in these verses, how far a man may go in religion, and yet not be a true disciple of Christ.”

is a good summary of a lot of people!

23 วิบัติแก่เจ้า พวกธรรมาจารย์และพวกฟาริสี คนหน้าซื่อใจคด ด้วยพวกเจ้าถวายสิบชักหนึ่งของสะระแหน่ ยี่หร่าและขมิ้น ส่วนข้อสำคัญแห่งพระราชบัญญัติ คือการพิพากษา ความเมตตาและความเชื่อนั้นได้ละเว้นเสีย สิ่งเหล่านั้นพวกเจ้าควรได้กระทำอยู่แล้ว แต่สิ่งอื่นนั้นไม่ควรละเว้นด้วย

Matthew 23:23-24

23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

Many are focused on the portions of God’s Word that they like, or that they agree with, instead of setting the Word as THE Authority in belief, worship style, lifestyle, goals and salvation.

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
