Everything should be for the glory of God.

Throughout John’s Gospel, the relationship between the Father and the Son is an example for the relationship between Jesus and the disciples.
The phrase, “has loved me,” is from the Greek word egapeson and it shows the completion and perfection of the Father’s love for His Son since before time began.
Jesus uses the same phrase to show His love for His disciples as completed thing.
“Remain in my love” once again indicates obedience.
What does “remaining in the love of Jesus” look like?
Obedience to the Father’s commands is the same for us as it was for the Son of God.
