ESV5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

ESV14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, 15 but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

How to get over trust issues?
Start where you can trust - God
Trust is the foundation of any healthy relationship
ESV31 What then shall we say to these things?
If God is for us, who can be against us?
ESV5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6 So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”

Trust Fall Fail VIDEO
To build trust, take it one step at a time.
No need to break down you walls and boundaries all at once.
Start off slowly and work your way to a closer relationship.
You have to start by allowing at least one person in those walls.
What if you only have one friend?
Look at Jesus, He had at least three friends that we close to Him
we are relational beings and at our core we desire to have relationship with other (we were made in God’s image and God is a relational being)
The enemy has a game plan called SKD (steal, kill, destroy)
The best way to destroy an enemy is to get them alone or as close to alone as possible
ESV10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.
I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
The best way to destroy an enemy is to get them alone or as close to alone as possible
We weren’t meant to do life alone and having a support system is key to staying healthy.
ESV9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.
10 For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow.
But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! 11 Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone?
12 And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
having a strong and encouraging support system is even better!

How do you know when someone is really your friend?
Touched on this in SQUAD a few weeks ago
Do they gossip to you or about you?
Do they speak encouragement?
Are they generous and loving?
Do they speak the truth in love to you?
A real friend is always going to put you before them and vice versa - you should want to be serving you friend.
if someone is constantly pulling from you, your resources, you time, etc; they are using you
Why is the Bible so controversial?
In one part it will say, You are all one in Jesus Christ, but in another part will say that men are higher than women?
The Bible can seem to contradict itself in different places, but keep in mind the Bible was written over a thousand years by different people in different cultures.
As Bre established, woman was made as a helper, HOWEVER we are all apart of the body of Christ
Body parts that seem weaker or unnecessary may appear that way, but wait until it gets hurt, then it’s a big deal, right?
ESV12 For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.
13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.
14 For the body does not consist of one member but of many.
15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body.
16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body.
17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing?
If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell?
18 But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose.
19 If all were a single member, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, yet one body.
21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, 24 which our more presentable parts do not require.
But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, 25 that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.
26 If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.
Body parts don’t serve themselves, they serve the whole body!
