cancel Well, we lost power and when you do and you have two young children, it's not a pretty thing. They don't you can't tell him it's okay. It's going to be okay, you know night lights and they're screaming and it just wasn't going well and that was the entire night and we got zero sleep. So the next morning we're exhausted. We don't know what we're going to do and we're looking at each other and it's like okay now since we're going to pack you up send you off to your parents and in-laws. I'm going to pull out the generator. The house is freezing. Try to try to get something running. All this work is what we're looking at it and I'm zero sleep in his right at that very moment. We're looking each other and ready to start that and by the way, I need the prefaces. I called the power company and they said 2 days. Yeah, and they said that I mean our roads always the last they said 2 days. And the phone had it rain saying it's back on it still hasn't even told us our powers back on in the power came right back on. It was a miracle. I honestly wonder if God wasn't standing out at the road. Just putting his power that line. I'm serious. praise God

So this was already like a month-and-a-half ago and me and my husband are up in The Sound Room lot of times when I went to get my testimony, but I was on my way to one of my cleaning jobs in Liberty a couple weeks ago in on the way there. I felt some stuff going on at that house and I just said I plead the blood of Jesus over the house and my prayer time and I got there and there was a guy working there. He works for the lady in on her property and he said during our conversation. He was like for some reason everything I look at this morning is red, and I had to chuckle to myself

I just wanted to share with your real quick that Tuesday night. I was at Liberty Raymond Barn in there was a prophet there and he spoke over me and he said that I will see I will start seeing the sunrise and I will see flowers in the winter and Friday morning. I woke up to the smell of flowers in my bedroom. It was just a unique smell and I

I just feel that it's spiritual that the flowers in the winter are going to be Souls being one for Jesus. Actually. I have a Amish brother that's opening his doors to me. I can go visit him. We are just trying to build up a relationship one-on-one and I'm just waiting for the Holy Spirit to let to when the time's right to speak about the salvation. So I'm excited and I just want all of you to start looking for the sun rises and the flowers this winter.

If you find something out about God is sometimes you like he likes to do things out of the ordinary. He likes to do things out of season.

Sometimes in our in our in our man-made mines in reasoning we think that when we do everything the right and looks good and constructed to are the best of our ability it's going to work but sometimes God doesn't let it work because he doesn't want you to rely on your strength your power your ability. Jude and we came from the 20th verse. Do you guys remember what that verse was? We stay to be repeated is a lot last week. We went over it were like yeah, this is the scripture and it is some boy says give me one moment.

It's simple it says this but you will love it build yourselves up founded on your Most Holy Faith make progress rise, like and an edifice higher and higher praying in the Holy Spirit and we realize that word edify and the Greek was okie dokie.

It was pretty close, wasn't it? It was comedo You know, there is something a Japanese word. Doesn't it like Komodo? We found out that that means to build it means to construct. It means to it means to begin to workout. It's like going to the gym and I use this example last week. If I go to the gym and work out doesn't do anyone good any it does me good. It release my stress. It relieves me, and it makes me stronger and stronger or weaker. I wasn't able to push through this level of resistance.

I use the example my friend who goes to the gym with me and he sees me lifting and he's like I can't deal with you then. I said well man, you got to start coming regularly so you can start building but let me share this with you in order to build muscle. It has to tear. I think sometimes we think is that all this is real fun. I like working out but the next day especially after leg day. Man, it's hard to walk the lactic acid buildup in my legs and if I ever trained you or worked out with you, you know exactly what I'm saying.

So is the same for those we begin to pray in the spirit? We're building ourselves up in our face spiritually according to God's word and what's happening. We begin to tear things.

Within ourselves, but also outside of ourselves.

Let's go to the next verse and the reason why God said I want you to do this until the 21st verse of it. It says Garden keep yourselves in the love of God. The one reason to build yourself up in your face is so that you can guard and that you can keep yourself. Another reason for you to be able to do that. It's staying in the love of God. You have to stay in the love of God. Do you know the problem with most people like maybe they're not Experiencing God and we are not Experiencing God. He's there but it's kind of like the relationships kind of dry. It's like being in a marital relationship with someone that you never communicate with. Will you make talk but they never talk back. You never experience the fellowship. The Bible says that it is the communion with the Holy Spirit.

Are we in communion with the spirit today?

And we also review what praying in the spirit is because you also said I want you to pray in the spirit and Paul also said that not just one but all you guys remember underlining that in your Bibles Paul said and the first end in 1st Corinthians the 14th chapter. But then later on you like but I'm not against you building yourself up because how many people know when you're stronger you're able to help someone else. Do you agree with that? You're able to step into someone else's burden and then we can fulfill the love of God the law of Christ where it says bear one another's Burden, but if your burden has you two week, how are you going to Bear someone else's?

It is with yourself, since you are so eager and ambitious to possess spiritual endowments. And manifestations of the Holy Spirit concentrate on striving to excel in and about in them in ways that will build up the church. The next verse there for the person who speaks in an unknown tongue should pray for the power to interpret and explain what he says. I think that's amazing that he said that Paul who's supposed to explain what they're saying?

Oh, wow. Now, it can't happen in our meeting that someone has a message in the spirit and then another person has the interpretation. But the goal is that you would become a well-rounded believer you become effective. Like if you were in the military, it's not just good enough to know hand to hand combat. You need to know how to use your weapon. You need to know how to use the grenade. You need to know how to manage and forwards when you're in a tie hostile situation. But if you're not getting trained to handle this type of situation when it comes how many people know that since you're not prepared most likely you're going to fail. But failure is not the end first attempt in learning. It's not the end. Did you catch that to fail F first attempt in learning?

And plus we got God on our side. He says all things work together for the good for those who love him and called according to his purpose.

It's about God's ability to bring understanding and when you do not have peace, how can you operate to give understanding? Are you following me? Here's a living example Jesus after he after the resurrection he goes into this room where his if it's in her room where the disciples were at the first person to carry the message of the Gospel was a woman. Did you know that? She was at the tomb and all of a sudden she was like, where is it? Where is he and she thought Jesus was the gardener and all of a sudden Jesus appears. She runs to tell the disciples. She was the first person to carry the gospel. The life he's alive rose again to Jesus pays later goes into the center room where all his disciples are meeting except for one. I don't know why you didn't show up, but he just wasn't there. And he said something peace to you. Because they were freaked out because he walked through a wall.

Could you imagine Jesus walking through a wall into your room you like? Oh my gosh, you're freaked out. But the first thing Jesus doesn't say is it's me, Jesus. You understand. He says, peace. He brings understanding. He spoke peace to you. Then. He said it again peace to you, and then he explained when we were praying and we're seeking. We're trying to seek so we understand. We're not allowing ourselves to enter into his rest his peace and within the peace understanding there because you're not striving in your open for God to bring it to you. Right and that you would begin to grow an inability. So then God can equip you with another ability with that card interpretation. So then the whole church can begin to be edified because now that you've been equipped if you're not equipped how many people know you can't do the job. Doctors go to college and they study for years my cousin's in school to become a doctor my brothers in school to become a physical therapist assistant and he's studying and it's because he needs to be equipped so he can do this. We're not equipped to do what God wanted to do a job.

We're not equipped. We've been say well maybe it's not doesn't exist. Maybe it's not for me. Maybe it's not my question is not saying that this is about salvation. It's about maturing but there's been many myths out there.

There are common myths out there one misses simple and I'm going to attack them head-on follow me not everyone can pray in the spirit.

No, no, no, no certain ones. Are you sure? Are you telling me on the day of Pentecost there was 120 people in a room and everyone did and appeared over everyone was a thing that look like fire and they spoke.

Are you telling me that this happened to Cornelius also the Italian group and are you also telling me that the Apostle Paul found 12 disciples of John's baptism and said, do you have you received the spirit since you believe and after they heard about Jesus and received them were baptized hands on them and what happened next they started the franchise.

This goes against what I've been taught. Is it okay for the Bible to go against what you've been taught?

Scorpions we were I love being like a little kid with God because then I receive a lot. What you've been taught was probably from someone who didn't engage in it. most of the time

And then you get a group of people don't do something talkin about.

Then you have another group of people who are doing it and they're trying to reveal and say actually we can know issue number two. It stopped after the formation of the Bible because there's a scripture that says when that which is perfect, which is come then those things will cease after the formation of the Bible. It was before taking it was they were from a mistake. It was a Nazi and Council that put together the Bible not the original Twelve Apostles. And Paul. Did you guys know that it was a counseling individuals who believe in God like me and you?

What's the stop right there and let that sink in?

To put it together being inspired by God. Now the Revelation that was given does not change. It is consistent with who God is the Bible is infallible. It's true. It's the word of God. It was received the written by the apostles and eyewitnesses of Jesus true.

So that cannot be an accurate interpretation.

And from there. We went to 50 Christian Center in the morning. Okay, so you evidently since you left the Amish I told me you got saved and everything, right? So what happened after you when you went to the Baptist Church? I'll run a lot there but We never learn about.

After three year two years at Vickery.

We were in deep worship and all the sudden I started words came out of my mouth. I had no idea. It was amazing. Scared me. talk about shock change my life. I use it everyday on the way to work. At work in the trees down all over. But you were just called I was brand-new tongue right there where you knew I had to come up here.

You were scared at first. So other right? Yeah why I don't know. I don't know. What's new with this is something different, but don't be afraid of it. But you ain't you ain't Gage when you were in deep worship. You were worshiping God from your heart from my heart and out of that begins to flow. I just started singing in the spirit. I have no idea what I was saying, but it give me Holy Ghost bumps.

when I after I got born again, it was just so amazing and I just thought I that was it, you know like I got born again and

I I was just on fire for God and going around and telling everybody else about Jesus and salvation. So.

What happened? I know that I Ponder our meeting see before she before she came to Maple View. This is back during what 2011-12 2009 or 2009 10 when she was before she came to Maple View. She was at another church and this church did something that was Abusive, is it okay to say that? Okay, what happened? I'm so after I get born again. They said to receive the Holy Spirit. You have to pray in tongues and that for me just really threw me off because I like I knew that I had the holy spirit because I said well when I got born again, I received the Holy Spirit, but they were trying to tell me. Well, you have to get prayed over so that you will receive the Holy Spirit and then you will speak in tongues. So I I really prayed about it. So the scriptures cuz I was very like no man came to the point where no man could tell me anything if it's if it's in the Bible not lining up with scripture then it's not true. So I really I really got hurt by that and so anytime that the baptism of the Holy Spirit came up. I thought that they were trying to tell me that you don't have the Holy Spirit. Let's talk about that. A lot of people that have meat in my life and walk around and meet different Christians and different groups that I hang out with a lot of them were taught some people someone came to him and said you don't have the Holy Spirit unless you pray in tongues. I want to tell you guys right up front. That's bad teacher. And that's error.

That is wrong teaching. Because I have the Holy Spirit I can pray and talks. I can prophesy I can.

During our marriage through years of our marriage we would talk because after we got together, you know, we shared and people coming over we had this Bible study group going in our home and we started teaching people. We had a few disciples. We have people who are in the faith for a while and people just got born again. So they're in our house and we're teaching and stuff and then this topic came up baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is where me and her had conflict. huge conflict 5-year conflict

for five years. I've been trying to tell her honey. There's more. And she would tell me. I have it. I have the Holy Spirit. I have it all. And I would say honey. There's more and see what you think. I have it all. And I was like, okay and I was like I was like, all right, cuz I sent the conflict and maybe something with some of you and then the audience that I have that same conflict in my heart and in my mind going on. And I do I make a comment. Do I said honey? I'm not saying you don't have a paycheck. I'm just telling you there's a bonus.

Well when you say it like that. The response wasn't as great. And I wasn't being mean. I was told her there's more like how many people know there's a wedding ceremony right? There was one here, I think last week, right but the wedding ceremony is not the reception. And the reception is not the wedding ceremony. The wedding ceremony is when two people before priest or Pastor make an agreement to be in Covenant together to death do them part. Jesus when you receive him the Bible says it's a New Covenant. There's an agreement that is made between you and God that he is your lord and savior. But then Jesus something to the reception party.

Go through our marriage we had conflict and we would go back and forth back and forth while you got the Holy Spirit. You need to allow him to flow. It's like you let him flow out of you. There's a full expression of him not only with Thomas but there's prophecy. There's Vision there's exclaiming of the gospel because Jesus said go to Jerusalem so you can receive power from where I so you can not do witnessing but be a witness.

So when we met was the initial time that we met it was a bonfire at these two people's house that that's here in the crowd Paula Rachel. We met at a bonfire. And we started sharing and and I was there they poked him asking me to come over and I know at the same time I was saying no Rachel was reaching out to Marianne saying come over and Maryam Hussain. I'm just so tired. I feel like if I wouldn't be so tired, but of course, you know, she said there's Ministry like we need it's okay. I'll be there so we both get there. We start ministering to these other people and then I start speaking on the baptism of the spirit. She gets anxious and she walks away because in the past people have said you don't have the Holy Spirit unless you pray and talks a lot of people in the may be in this group here. Have been abused by that.

That that's very abusive teaching. Another important step is they say if you don't Grant songs You're Not Safe further error. Those are abusive teachings. That is not right. According to God's word.

That's something that we're not going to do here. But what I what we will say is because you have the spirit you can pray there is this thing called the baptism of the spirit? It's when you get fully submerged in the spirit. And where does what part does you submerge? mine will and emotions just called your soul. Kiss emerges your soul so that you become aware. Of the Holy Spirit movie. So let's continue our conversation. So these were our disagreements that we had in our marriage. And we would we would get some we had heated Fellowship.

I said I know what you're telling me is true because I would go out and meet people and mistreat pray for them and then pray that they receive the baptism and they would begin to prophesy and pray and tell him everywhere. I was in college doing this in college when will call his group and they begin to do the same thing and they were from all different walks of life and denominational stance. Storm Lake. I know this is true because where you what you have shown me and where I've been and what I've seen and what your word more importantly what your word says. But I don't know how to communicate this truth. To my wife she would understand. Cuz I would leave after our discussions are they? All right. They're my favorite when I was in Walmart, and there's there's there since Baptist youth pastor in Walmart. He's working the counter and I would say how you doing buddy, cuz I could and we're talkin now if you don't know anything about baptism and I'm not against Baptist like dude, they have awesome theology. They are strong in the word and Theology and that you would know the word memorize the work and that is deeply and you how many people know we need that.

So I was discussing with them in the middle Walmart. And I said dude. How's your life we got to go and he's like well and ask for houses. She knows how many people feel like always. And then he goes he's here, but then he's not and I said no man. Jesus said he wants to baptize your soul in it. So we're in the middle of Walmart, Middlefield, Ohio. I said let's just pray. God to send the Holy Spirit. Like Jesus said we're going to pray for the bathroom in the middle Walmart guys. See when you become on the shame of the Gospel. It doesn't matter where you're at. as long as they're still shame there's

I'm not ashamed of the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation first to the Jew then to the Gentile. Jesus said if you're ashamed of me, I'll be ashamed of. So I realized something if I want to make God talk about me. I'll talk about him a lot.

So when Walmart we begin to pray that's it, dude. I want you to just begin to release whenever God begins to give you some room Walmart. We're praying and all the sudden. He's like And that's when you know hit this guy language begins to change. And he and his soul became aware that someone greater on the inside was starting to work on the outside to bring about a change in his life.

Three weeks later. I met that guy. He's like, let me tell you you don't understand. I was stuck in very send and I was dealing with this and after I started praying in the spirit all that stuff broke.

I said well there's a scripture that says build yourself up. So it are married this would happen and I would go out and see things like this. Come back home. I will try to share it with her and it was like there was a disconnect. How do we work through it?

Well, I finally felt that you accepted me for just you know, allowing me to listen to the Holy Spirit and be led by the spirit. You didn't try to convince me your way. But you allowed to Holy Spirit to reveal it to me and I would I would be praying I would say Lord, you know, if this is the gift that you want to give me then I receive it I would pray and I would wait wait nothing happened. So I said well, let's not be the gift. You want to give me that was my logical reasoning and so this one down for y'all like probably five years. And so finally one day. I was really I was listening to the the pastor and I've been listening to him and everything. He was saying was just like confirming in my spirit was all biblical truth and he started talking about praying in the spirit and he had a way of explaining it was just that really like I remember just really impacted me and I realized that it's not about my understanding or trying to get like I have to put in a I can't just wait. I can't just sit there and wait, but I have to engage in my face. And so when he came home from work that day, I told him you were you know, you've been right and I've been wrong and you know, I I repented and I asked him to pray with me and

I mean even after that like when I would start praying in the spirit, I have the enemy would come and tell me. Oh, you're just making this up. It's just you know, that's just yourself, but you're just doing it on your you know yourself, but I continued in it and God revealed to me like the one time he had the holy spirit is probably need to go pray. And so I went and prayed and I didn't know what to pray for. So I was just praying and all of a sudden like it was just like I was praying in the spirit and I was just crying and I was just weeping and wailing and crying and then I start praying for my brother and sister and later that night. I found out that he had fallen out of a tree and he couldn't even what he had. No cell phone on. He had he had to crawl from the tree that's with your hunting and crawl from the tree all the way up to the road and lay in the middle the road so somebody could come get him dedicated emergency room in the doctor. Play I can't believe you're not dead. Like how are you alive? And I just really feel let you know that was I didn't have no idea what was going on. But this is the way that you know, Holy Spirit was just allowed me to pray for him and intercede for him. Even though I didn't know that was one of them about the one where we won one day. I wasn't home, but she calls me to that one. And then the one days I just caught kept calling him like it was I was so miserable and I didn't know was I getting sick but I didn't feel sick. I just felt so miserable and I can't calling him. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I can't get out of bed. Like I just every time I get out I can't do anything. I have to go back to bed. And you know, I had I had my son had to take care of and I couldn't get out of bed. And I said, I don't know what's wrong and I was just crying and he said we'll just praying it just start praying in the spirit. Suicide. Well, I start praying in the spirit and immediately like after that it said I just heard I just heard buying the strong man. And I that's what I pray. I said Lord, you know, I just find the strong man in the name of Jesus and like immediately I was I was fine and I got up and I was I was good. I was I was I call them up and I was like, I'm good. I'm fine.

with that being said the Bible says him that praising owns on tongue praise Mysteries, right? It also says you're you don't know the things that you're praying for but you're praying in life examples not only in the scripture but lived out it was done her brother who fell out with her brother lothar of a tree Doctor said he should have been dead. But also she was dealing with something that was spiritual. And got Mike will just pray in the spirit, honey, and I went on and she prayed and she call me back honey. It's gone. The Bible says we don't fight against flesh and blood. But against the spirit spiritual things. I believe with all my heart that this is a weapon that is under use in the body of Christ

because it doesn't seem logical. It doesn't look pretty it's not like it sounds silly. The first time that's happened to me. I was outside praying at my parents house in a truck, right? My dad had this blue truck. I would go praying cuz I had I was still living at home at siblings are at 1 to pray I go to this blue truck and I promise you I felt like I was a hippie or something over and over and over. I was like, I don't know what y'all y'all means God, but I'm just going to use what I feel you. Give me and I started flowing in this word called Yaya.

All the sudden years later. I found out an in Pennsylvanian Dutch John means yes. Song they're singing. Yes. Yes. Yes to the Lord. Without me even knowing it. So this is I just want to encourage you we as a Veo. As a married couple and his leadership at Mapleview. We want to encourage you guys. Play encourage you guys to discover don't write it off go and Discover it and then get around people who do it. because there's something about coming around someone who's engaging in something you go around someone who's a good investor. You'll start making some good investment you go around someone who who's excited about working out. You'll start working out with you go around someone who likes to bake. You'll find yourself. Hey, let's go pick this you ever thought about asking get around people who are engaging the spirit of God and this way because guess what happened it rubs off. And that's a scripture that we're going to end on it says that one joint supplies another. That's why we need to be connected. Because where you're strong I may be weak. But we come to you as little children. We ask that you would reveal to each and everyone of us collectively and individually your word and your truth that you will allow it to illuminate our hearts and bring peace unto our minds that we may enter into everything you have for us. But the fullness of who you are is expressed and seen and felt among our community here. And also to the world outside that they may know that you are The Sovereign Lord and that you are the only true God.
