§ Is there a difference in culture?
§ Is there a difference in time?
§ Is there a difference in covenant?
Is there a difference in government?
Etc…
Next, we determine what we have in common.
o Are we under the same covenant?
o Are we dealing with a similar situation?
•Are we dealing with a similar cultural mindset?

•Are there any characteristics pertaining to the situation which we can relate.
Etc…
o Are there any characteristics pertaining to the situation which we can relate.
Etc…
This should bring us to a point where we can answer the question for step number two.
