For some, Thanksgiving is a chance to hang out, stuff ourselves and watch the Lions lose

But sometimes, we actually stop and think about what God has done...

Psalm 100:4 ESV

Something is striking about that passage

It’s not about you!

We are welcome to enter through His gates and into His courts

It’s all about Him!

A place where we shouldn’t fit in

HIS gates, HIS courts, HIS name, BLESS HIM!

There, we enter the presence of God

How do we respond?

There is so much to be thankful for

At least for now, no one HAS to praise Him

So how often

That includes what He’s done for me

There’s nothing special about Thanksgiving, just a day

But also for the things that He is

But, it is an opportunity just like any other

It’s important to think of the magnificence of our God

He is responsible for every good thing

We should be thankful!

But some of us hate Thanksgiving...

We think of family and some of us hate our families

We think of food and we hate turkey and stuffing

We think of fall and we hate orange and brown

BUT it’s all about perspective!

I get that, but we all have something to be thankful for

We spend so much time NOT being thankful

Think about how much you complain

Think of how much you worry

Think of how much you struggle

There’s plenty of time for that… so maybe just take the next little bit to be thankful

Think of it this way

Everyone here is a Packers fan or a Bears fan

When the Lions played Green Bay, did you see the phantom hands to the face?

Against the Bears, Matthew Stafford woke up and had a broken back?

If that’s not divine intervention… You’d better thank God for that!!
