Intro:
years ago I read an article about Gripe Sheets.
It’s called: a “Gripe Sheet”
If the pilot finds something on the plane to “gripe” about.. they fill out the form.. submit it to the mechanic..
A Gripe Sheet is a form that a pilot fills out when they recognize a problem with the plane they are flying.
I don’t recall if other airlines have Gripe Sheets, but these were specifically from Quantas Airlines.
In the article, they gave several, humorous examples of Problems and solutions.
The mechanic reviews the problem, and responds to the pilot, before the next flight..
I’ve found several of these “Gripe Sheets” to be quite entertaining..

Gripe Sheets- They communicated a problem..
and… they communicated a solution..
There was a problem side..
And a solution side..
++
As the Apostle Paul.. looked upon the predicament w/in the Galatian church..
He had a gripe.. a problem……
A big problem.. that needed a very quick solution..

P: Grace being discounted in exchange for works..
S: Salvation is by grace alone, and not works!

SLIDE 13
P: Messenger is in it for himself.
He’s a charlatan and a hypocrite..
S: The messenger seeks to please God, and not man..
++
Not only is Paul bringing a defense for the message..
But he is also, bringing a defense for the messenger… Himself!
As we remember, Paul had brought the gospel message to the Galatian gentiles..
Soon after Paul left..
Others came in.. with additional information..
++
Paul had told the Galatians, that they were justified completely according to the grace which was given through Christ..
These new messengers were contradicting that message..
Telling them, that their justification depends heavily upon their devotion, as a people of complete Gentile heritage… to fulfill certain laws and Jewish traditions..
.. fulfill certain laws and traditions..
Essentially.. Paul’s message was:
“Salvation is by grace alone, and not works”
++
And the message which followed Paul was:
“Salvation is by grace, initially.. and then, it is maintained by works.”
++
They discredited and reversed the message that Paul previously delivered..
And… to give further support for their agenda..
They sought to discredit Paul also.
++
In our previous study… vs. 7… we learned that they were “perverting” the gospel..
Meaning literally, that they were reversing the gospel..
Paul spoke of their gospel.. as being.. “a different gospel”
Which.. is not “another”
++
Essentially saying..
That they were embracing a different message of good news..
Which was not.. a message of good news..
Why?
Because… the good part.. had been removed..
